    Here is a compilation of numerous such incidents in F1 and elsewhere someone put online; zero injuries miraculously.
    Love the redneck that steals the Nascar safety car LOL



    I almost had a similar incident in Formula Ford 1988 at Silverstone during a test day on the club circuit, albeit not with a safety car.

    It was the only time they put BTCC cars (British touring car championship) with us. On the back straight they would out accelerate us and be 50kph quicker in top speed...but they braked a mile before we did for the tight last turn before the pit straight.

    One of them passed me, put himself in front of me....and braked a second later, he did not use his brain at all on that one...I slammed on the brakes and was just able not to hit the back of him, missed him by a foot and that was while his exhausts shot flames right at me:eek::D

    They never again put us back on track with the BTCC that year....
