At the risk of belaboring the point, and out of respect for the manufacturer, I would strongly recommend that all cost questions be directed towards Bag World.

Main reason being that, since these are all custom made just for you, there are a number of options (leather vs. vinyl, for just one instance) which can greatly influence your cost.

Agreed - I thought the price was very reasonable for what you get

Dave, thank you again. I have been in touch with Colin and my set of overnight bags are in the pipeline. I'm very much looking forward to seeing them in my 308.

Each bag is bespoke. I’ve spoken to Colin who has supplied his email for contact. A photo of the car always helps.

Questions about pricing are properly addressed to Colin, who is brisk in responding. Suffice to say that anyone who has looked at the prices of Schedoni bags will be very happy indeed with these prices.

Thanks for this Dave. Have just reached out to Colin to see if he can help with designing something suitable for my eagerly anticipated 296 GTS and not insanely priced like the luggage available from Ferrari (which is not even made of leather)!

Mine are on the way. I hesitate to publish pricing as I think that is Colin's information to give out, but the price compared to SChedoni- well, there is no comparison. I'll put pics up as soon as they arrive, which ought to be next week.

Bags arrived today by FeDex. They are exactly as described, the fit into the 308 boot is exactly right, and altogether this has been a very good experience. I recommend Colin Surman's company without reservation whatever- a fine product, fine service, and a great value.

Now: I have a question about Ferrari luggage sets which is only tangentially relevant to this discussion, as follows:

There is a early 308 GTB on BaT, a very nice looking car with red exterior, tobacco leather, and a great deal of documentation, books, etc. It also has what is described as original Ferrari luggage- there are no photos of the interior of the bags but the outsides of the bags are covered in a cloth, I think, with a pattern alternating between the cavallino silhouette and the Ferrari lettering trademark. I think I may have seen a similar material used to cover the pouch that held the owner's manual and documents on a Ferrari. I want to go back and look at the listing again. But if these are original Ferrari 308 luggage, is the Schedoni luggage from a later period, is it not original to Ferraris? Or are there multiple lines of original 308 luggage from different manufacturers?

This is a matter of curiosity to me. I like the bags I have, they are fine for what I need, but since I've gone down the rabbit hole on Ferrari luggage, I'm curious as to the group's opinions on the luggage set which was evidently supplied with the 308 on BaT currently. Thanks in advance for comments and opinions.

My mistake= car on BaT is a GTS, not a GTB.

They look smashing. I will be paying Colin a visit in the next couple of months. He will have an opportunity to measure up for a 296 so anyone who wants him to make the bags for those cars may also benefit. Mine is scheduled for delivery on 17.09 and is the GTS variety.

I'm sorry, but putting a Prancing Horse on something you sell it's a Trade Mark infringement: I would become rich if i could do it. Actually nobody can unless it has a Ferrari written and signed permission.

Otherwise it's a crime, so I would avoid to show and speak about such things on a public forum, as Ferrari has a ton of lawyers waiting for some work.

This said - and that's 100% what Law says- they are almost worthless when you want to resell them: so, maybe they cost less than a Ferrari by Schedoni original suitcase set, but in my opinion they are a money loss, whatever nice they can be.

    Ciao

Hmm...perhaps someone should let Porsche know about their criminal use of a prancing horse in their logo.

I tried scouring their website for copyright/trademark use legal information, but couldn't find anything on that. However, they've been doing this for around 30 years and they promote themselves too (video, YouTube and TV appearances, car and trade shows, and magazine articles). It would be fairly difficult to stay in business that long and somehow stay under the radar of literally all the car manufacturers—and we all know Ferrari is relentless with this kind of stuff (Porsche too: eons ago when I had a Porsche Boxster I started "bayareaboxster.com" which was a group of several Boxster owners - within one month of creating the website and no advertising or publicity of any sort, I received a "Cease and Desist" order from Porsche). I figure they must be doing it legally, but I don't know how to actually find that out. Would really like to know if their usage of these logos and whatnot is legal as I'm not a fan of counterfeit products.
