In another place I have what looks like a scene out of Steve McQueen's movie. And here is the 1/18 scale Enzo, a bit out of focus, watching over his progeny. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

The 1/24 Quattroruote thread has reignited my desire to make a display of all Ferrari Formula One cars. I originally got the idea from my first visit to the Ferrari museum in Maranello. However, the display there was in 1/43 scale, which I´d stopped collecting after my switch to 1/18 scale. Image Unavailable, Please Login The Quattroruote models look quite nice, but being 1/24 scale the display would become way too large. I wanted the display to be more like a painting and hang it on the wall. So when I realized that most if not all Ferrari Formula One cars were made in the La Storia line (Hot Wheels, Altaya, IXO) for very reasonable prices, I decided to go for it. Image Unavailable, Please Login The models are from 1950 up to 2007. The first line is front engined cars from the fifties. The second is rear engined cars from the sixties. The third are the flat twelves from the seventies, fourth is the turbo era, fifth the V12s from the late eighties, early nineties and the last row are the V10s (and two V8s foor 2006 and 2007). Overall dimensions are about 85 by 85 centimeters. I also added back lighting. Image Unavailable, Please Login The only model missing is from 1959. Hot Wheels did make one, but is somehow quite rare to find. Tecnomodel has announced their version for Q4, so I should be able to complete the display. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Photos of the 1/43rd cars on display at the Ferrari Museum in Maranello back in 2019. Not sure who the manufacturer was, maybe a combination of Best, Bang, Brumm, BBR, MR, Solido, Onyx, Minichamps and IXO ? Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I didn't want to wait on the Technomodel version so I decided to rebuild a 801 from 1957 (top) into a 246 from 1959 (bottom). Now the display is complete and I can move on to other projects. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

complete ?? with 1 car per year, only the f1 participation of ferrari is complete.. If you have all the different F1 cars (excluding different liveries) Ferrari ever used in your colelctions it would be 3-4 times so big .. Even i have only 86% of all the F1 cars in my collection (including own-build versions as you did also) and i count an amount of approx. 250 significant different cars. And i didn't count the test and presentation-versions (also approx. 75 pieces). Can you sent me a PB with your mailadres, i send you an Excel file with a Ferrari F1 list over the years
@Arjan when you are ready with F1 you can collect the others Formula 2 Formula Libre Indy Tasman Prototypes and so on then you have another 50 cars some of mine Image Unavailable, Please Login
If they keep extending the 1/24th Hachette collection of Ferrari F1 models you might be able to in a few years.
FPPM does a few of those cars in 1/24th. I am trying to get Fernando Pinto the owner of FPPM to do the Pininfarina F1 safety car in 1/24th. He is doing the Maserati 420M/58 and 1959 cars in 1/24th so he does like rare and strange open wheel Italian cars. Silver City does the Ferrari Indy car and Revell/Monogram did the Curtis Indy Ferrari in 1/24th. You can get almost everything in 1/43rd.
I already has made that move.. many formula 2 , formula libre, Thinwall specials en design studies in the collection (about 30 now)
It wasn´t my intention to collect every single version. It wasn´t even my goal to collect them as models. I wanted to make a display, more like a 3D poster. I only wanted to display one car per year, showing the evolution of the Ferrari F1 car. So that's why I called it complete.
