-First The F50 is not a Hypercar as its not Hybrid.... and that's a great thing

-The F50 re released with updated Tires and Brakes you would easily sell 300 units

-Then if they went a step further re tuned the engine it as it was heavily detuned at the time.
Then gave the suspension etc a birthday you would have a something even more special and sell even more units

These two were fairly close though. Imagine if Ferrari's 2025 hypercar had 1995 levels of performance...

Perhaps none (even though I would expect "driftlover" to make it happen), but if I were to spend 3-4 millions, I would expect my money's worth in terms of performance. At least try to beat the serious cars that cost this much, not the useless Paganis (with Mercedes engines), which are all about the looks. Murray's cars are a bit different, but still, overpriced for their performance.

BS! The cars you don't like are much better, except for the PS.
Th 355 better than the 360... Hilarious!!!

Perhaps as an Icona, not a hypercar.

They are all sold. Just like the V6 powered F250 is/will be. Different strokes.

Regarding GMA and Pagani cars, if you haven’t actually driven one, driving one for the first time is likely to blow your mind for reasons that have nothing to do with looks and a lot to do with performance—even if you are jaded or think you “understand” those cars because of the over-abundance of YouTube content rehashing the same information.

Surely Ferrari have the technology and facilities to 3D print themselves ??? Unless Czinger have patents , surely Ferrari (Race) have vastly more resources thank Czinger , especially as 3D printing of bespoke parts would be a great long term earner …

Agreed. I’ve driven a Huayra BC and piloted a Utopia for a few hours in a rally earlier this year. While they don’t scream like a NA V12, they do sound very exotic from the driver’s seat in part because of the prominent intake noise (very P1 like). Monster torque in a very light and stiff chassis. Strong Group C vibes.

Patents and I don’t think it’s a straight forward as one might think - particularly the shape optimization (uses AI?) and material sciences.

Virtually everything is "AI" these days. Czinger's harping on "AI" is a bit gratuitous.

They, like many others in this field, do topology optimization. It's a well-established mathematical technique where you use finite element analysis to come up with a material layout given constraints like size and expected/predicted loads. The result of this process is shapes that often look "organic" or "biological", as seen in your picture.

Now, to cut Czinger some slack, one would do topology optimization for multiple components and perhaps generate many possible shapes and solutions to consider. This "generative" process, where you then programmatically explore the various options, which, if you squint enough, can be made to sound like "AI". Anyway, the point is that these techniques predate the recent insanity-laden hype about AI and are now sometimes relabeled to milk the type, impressive as they are in their own right.

I have only driven a TDF once, but it was for half a day on a great mixture of Spanish roads. But I found the Rear Wheel Steering on the TDF really unnatural and even spooky at times. How do you find the RWS on your car? Does alignment change things. My Pista and Speciale were both transformed by a detailed setup.
