    Naive is a euphemism for a massively idiotic move. I just hope the FIA comes down hard on him. A race ban would be in order.

    Sainz’s car swerved left suddenly because Perez hit his left rear tire. It wasn’t Sainz steering (and metrics will bear this out). It was physics caused by Checo hitting his tire.

    That's because after the race, Horner was with Karun Chandhok analyzing the crash incident from all angles....and Horner is right to place blame on Sainz....just like Karun as well.

    The view from above (helicopter or drone?) valids your version, IMO.
    It was so sudden that I thought about a mechanical incident at first, by it looks like brain fade.

    In car angles showed Sainz wheel was straight supposedly

    Sainz, Perez cleared by stewards over race-ending Azerbaijan GP crash

    After talking to both drivers and studying data from the incident as well as the respective driving lines from previous laps, the stewards came back with a decision that no further action was necessary labelling the crash a "racing incident" in which "neither driver was predominantly at fault."

    Here's the overhead of the incident. Note the white broken lines and the white stationary lines as a reference as they are somewhat consistent(wide at the turn and narrow after the turn and remain consistent) throughout this portion of the track.

    Checo's car is on the white broken line and his car remains consistent on the white broken line.

    Sainz's car veers wide after the turn and is on the white solid line on the track and then Sainz veers right coming off the white solid line and heading into Checo. Also, look how much room Sainz has from the wall....which is alot of room.

    Conclusion: Sainz is at fault for this incident.

    "McLaren has a "Mini-DRS", which acts on top of the "Flexy wing" -Wing flex: McL > Ferrari >> RedBull

    -McL has a never-seen-before lift of the upper plane leading edge: it's as if the DRS opens partially at high speed, providing a further advantage.

    The effect is measurable: McL had the highest top speed when the DRS was inactive despite being slowest when the DRS was open (Data from quali)

    Is this legal?

    -The flexy wing is, as it passed the FIA's load tests. A wing that flexes are 'against the spirit of the rules', but until the load tests change to avoid that such a thing is perfectly ok -I'm not sure about the deformation of the DRS plane: I expect Ferrari to protest that, but the outcome is hard to predict."

    I see Sainz ahead, resuming his race line, and Checo with a county mile of open air on his left driving straight into Carlos causing the Ferrari to veer left taking both into the wall.

    Checo had room to yield.

    Sainz did the blocking thing they all do when leaving a corner (site: Piastri on LEC early in the race where I thought "hmmm someday one of them won't give up the lane")

    Checo didn't leave room.

    No Oscar is showing both Lando and Charles how to race lol. The gent who finished second today and DID NOT WIN said this. Oscar is a shark and Charles is a playboy LOL. Piastri surprised Lando in Monza and today Charles.

    I'm surprised to hear nothing about Oscar's defending. Sure seemed like he made more than one move and/or moved under braking more than once when Charles was trying to set up a run into turn 1.
    Guess he did it just about perfectly, whereas Charles stayed well right and left the door wide open for him.
    Oscar did admit in the cool down room that he gave it 50-50 odds of making the turn.
    He absolutely flew by Charles. Will be interesting to see stats on tops speeds from the race, with and without DRS.
