I feel like the dealers get people to order them and then hope to get them back on consignment. Look at how many have just a few hundred miles or less. The specs are basic probably because they didn't want them in the first place.

I've canceled mine, I'd rather get the new Lambo. Better all around experience and I bet there will be fewer issues.

You probably won't have it that long.

I have a friend who ordered a Revuelto, and it recently arrived at the port. He’s part of a Snapchat group that has essentially all of the early buyers of the car in the group. Even out of the small
number of early buyers, he told me there are already several instances of blown engines for the car, and now he’s seriously concerned about his car’s reliability. So while same those issues may not occur in the Temerario, it’s concerning enough to me hold off on putting my name on a list for one.

new V12 and new V8. designed by Lambo. i know audi owns them but not the same as when audi develops a new engine in house to transplant elsewhere. that sucks. i expect similar engine issues with the temerario. high rev flat plane. i'd wait till second model year. too bad now new R8.

    One thing I found is
Whenever you charge the car, always open the door, start the car and then turn it off. This wakes up the battery. Then plug the charger.
I forgot to wake the battery and only found the battery got drained all the way to 0%. All I did was just plug the battery charger without waking the car (just opening door won’t do) and charger showed it was working by blinking blue.
So every now and then even I plug the car whole time, I unplug and wake the car up and then replug.

as per my previous messages on this thread I have had the low voltage battery run down completely (in 2-3 hrs) a couple of times - prob my fault for not checking car had turned car fully off … to restart it you can get into the car is to connect a heavy duty jump starter (ones road side assistance use) to the 12V battery terminals - found behind the carpet in passenger footwell - just undo the 2 screws. Once connected leave it for 15 mins to gradual put some charge back into the battery. Boot should the open and u can get the charger out or I just took it for a long drive and everything was fine after.

I lover the looks and sound of the 296 but reading these real life ownership quirks make them sound like a nightmare to live with, especially once they are out of the warranty period.

I was thinking of immediately changing out the factory 12V battery with something more reliable when my GTB gets to my detailer next week. Anyone see any issues with doing that? I was also wondering why the cars don't have issues after coming off the boat after 2-3 weeks at sea. Im sure that are not plugged in anywhere

I wouldn’t mess with it. Why take the chance of having an issue with the hybrid system and the dealer saying you voided the warranty by changing the 12v battery? Just keep it on the tender and you should be fine.

Glad it worked out… the Chinese made 12V battery is a weak link but not sure I want to replace it if Ferrari make a fuss re: warranty

Plug in after use. Make sure to shut off. No issues.

Car is so well made. Haptics are half baked. Screen quality- the best in any car.

Driving- Most important- off the charts good. For the road- unbelievably fast and useable.

    Nightmare? No.

    For me- living the dream.

Not shure... I use mine daily.. every single day, no problem at all. Maybe the first impression with the low voltage battery was not good... but after fix it, you will be so glad to buy one. I have a 600lt, 2 carrera S, revuelto and turbo S... and none is better, GTB is fast as hell, confort, prettiest, better suspension feel, the steering is way much better, and 7 yrs warranty is good. it's recharge super fast in Qualifying mode, and for a v6, the sound is way better than others. Long trip you can go hybrid if the sounds gets you annoying. Im used to go 100mph+ without notice... so my recommendation is to have a nice speed radar lol

I use it to go gym ️‍♂️, and it's a 5minutes far walking distance haha... other thing I recommend is tu put the key inside a plastic card ziplock (2.5x3.5inch) to protect it from scratches.
