    Yes, I have 2 of them in my garage. A 208 GTB (34183) and a 208 GT4 (12252).

Not the thrill of a 308, but nice to have something different.

What I get from this is that you must be extremely careful that the waste gate maintains constant control (limiting) of the boost. The very last thing you want is to have a problem whereby the boost spikes under hard acceleration.

As Mont says, the symptoms here would be a phenomenal surge in power upon acceleration, surpassing what you are accustomed to, followed by major engine damage.

The example I will cite here is for a modified 308 QV: Boost was originally set to 14 psi and subsequently reduced to a very modest 4 psi (this made 291 RWHP on a Dyno). After not driving the car regularly, I discovered that this had changed to over 8 psi. I felt this on hard acceleration and immediately looked at the gauge. Time to check/adjust the waste gate!

I guess the bottom line is to drive these cars regularly (a terrible job, but someone has to do it!) and test for max boost every now and again.

    Best,

    John.

I just have this GTS Turbo in Argento in my stable. Anyone ever seen another GTS Turbo in this color? Curious how many in the color are made and still running.
