Dominick is the most giving car guy I’ve come across in 30 years of being “a car guy”. Incredible guy and massively knowledgeable.

Let me share my experience with Dominick.

When I first posted on the forum about hunting down a F430, he responded and told me to call him, so we could discuss the car and the shopping process.

We spent about 45m on the phone and I walked away with great pointers about what to look for and what to walk away from. And told me just send me what you find and I'll give you my input.

Found a few cars. He shut down some, told me to ask a X or Y on others.

Then one morning I got a text from him that went something like this:
"Hey Ed, I like this 430, think it's a good prospect. I suggest you reach out and inquire... here to discuss and guide you"

I ended up moving in on that car. Dominick got on the call with the mechanic that did the PPI to make sure it was in depth and addressed what ineeded to be addressed.

The guy that did the PPI was an ******* to him. Kinda like "how dare you question my work?!" type of guy. Dominick was a gentleman about it and just got off the phone. I truly felt horrible that this guy gave all this time pro-bono and was treated like this. Dominick just responded that it didn't matter and he just wanted me to get a good car.

He's still helping me to this day with an f1 accumulator issue.

Great guy! The community is blessed to have him among us!

Dominick is awesome. Thank you again sir for both helping me with my few minor issues and educating me at the same time about the car. I learned more from him in a few hours about cars than probably my whole life before that (spoiler alert, I'm not very mechanically inclined). But you have to start somewhere and having him take the time to guide me is wonderful (for me) and generous (by him).

Dominick is the absolute best. Recently had an issue with my potentiometers in my F430. Dominick had me run a bunch of tests and plot a grid of my gear engagement. We then did a relearn of the gearbox. When the problem persisted, we were sure it was the potentiometers. Dominick could have stopped there, but instead helped me through the whole replacement process and then insisted that we bleed my clutch, e-diff and my F1 actuator. He was determined that my car run even better than before it had the potentiometer issue. I can't thank him enough for his help - he spent hours with me. The car runs like a top now. Dominick, my friend, thank you!

    Flash32 to the Rescue!!!
About 5 weeks ago I damaged my clutch and reached out for help. Flash worked with me to diagnose and embark on correcting the issue. After countless calls and hours on the phone we were making progress but Dom was concerned and didn't want me to drive if it wasn't safe. He actually drove an hour north to visit and work with me. We continued to adjust and now the car has gone from needing a new clutch/flywheel to driving like new. Probably saving me $10-12k, not only does the car drive great, I've got about 55% left on the clutch.
Even more than fixing the car Dom stepped in while i was also dealing with some personal issues. He was there for me on a personal level and has made a huge difference not only with my Ferrari but with my outlook. He is a good man and Im proud to call him my friend. Thanks for all Dom and you know Ill be giving you a call soon

I don’t know where he finds the time in the day to save all our cars… but he does. Dominick just spent a few hours with me the other day diagnosing what he believes to be a leaking clutch solenoid in the F1 system. I’ve never had any driving or performance issues with my car, but I would get occasional flashing red lights from my ScudIng Smart Relay, which I couldn’t correlate with a specific problem or issue, as everything was driving fine.
Dominick ran through all the diagnostic data with me on my ThinkDiag2, and gave me some driving cycles to perform and additional data to collect upon completion.
He narrowed it down to a likely clutch solenoid, and to a lesser degree, a possible tired accumulator, though I just replaced it 13K miles ago. Easy swap if it needs it.
In the meantime, solenoid is ordered, and a swap and clutch bleed is forthcoming.
    Dominick for President, 2024! It’s not too late for a write-in, right?:D

LOL - the first item on my promises would be to create a OBD -3 protocol which all car sold in USA would have to conform to. This would allow every data parameter, function, etc that dealers have access to be available to the average person with a moderately priced tool ( up to 5k) .. This would include, as well as at a minimal cost, all documents ( TSB, WSM, ETC)

Something like a Haynes / Mitchell (for documents) and a Launch type tool that works for all cars as if it was a SD tool, ODIS, ISTP etc

I can dream right - lol

For years I have had Dominick on speed dial. He just helped me confirm some suspicions I had the my pressure wasn't holding properly on my F430. Odd thing is my accumulator was only 4 years old and maybe 7-8k miles. A new accumulator was installed and bleed procedure followed - solved the pressure issue. Next was frequent pump running cycles at low speeds. This screamed ediff to me and Dom helped to confirm. Replaced the ediff solenoid and bled that. Problem solved.

Thanks again, Dominick. It is like having a concierge MD for my F-Car.

I’m back to thank Dominick for all his time and help this past week. He helped me diagnose a failing clutch solenoid, and guide me through the data points to monitor along the way. All my pump cycles times in all conditions -off/on/cold/hot/neutral/driving-
all basically doubled! I had already replaced my accumulator last year, but without discovering the failing clutch solenoid, it wasn’t living up to its full potential.
    Now it’s great!

    Dominick keeps on helping !!!
My 05 F430 has the big original style battery charger. I rarely use it and Dominick suggested that I buy this model CTEK charger, so I did. I’d never opened up the battery compartment, so he explained that it was an easy job. As usual, he was 100% correct.
Now I won’t be worried if I don’t drive the car, just for battery charging purposes.
It wasn’t a difficult job at all !!!
    Thanks Again Dominick,

Teach a man how to fish and he’ll eat for a day, teach a man how to fish and he’ll eat for life - that is what Dominick has done for me.

Bought my high school dream car, a 2001 360 Modena F1 Rosso Corsa / Tan, back in August. F1 pump failed shortly after (as expected). After replacing the pump, relay, and dude, the car still did not go into gear. With my car stuck on my driveway, and winter approaching, my anxiety level spiked at this point, I gave in, and made a forum post. An internet stranger, flash32, asked me to give him a call. Skeptical at first, I went ahead and did so, but unknown to me was the fact I was about to converse with one of the most generous Good Samaritans that exist in this community.

Dominick pointed me to all the right tools to get the job done (Autel AP200 to read codes and figure out what was going on, Think Diag 2 for when I upgrade my TCU to a 2004 unit later) and spent hours of his time across multiple days to fix my issues and give me a masterclass on the F1 system.

Turned out I moronically swapped the inner and outer tail lights (one mount was broken so intentionally did so thinking they were the same) when replacing the pump which blew the brake fuse not allowing the brake switch the register. Swapping the taillights back and replacing the brake fuse, I almost cried when I heard the glorious beep when the car went into reverse for the first time in weeks. Words can’t express my gratitude - my anxiety was eradicated and got the car in the garage before stormy season.

Dominick - may the good Lord continue to bless you with such a humble and generous way of being, you’ve inspired me to give back more to his community, whenever I can. Nice meal on me next time I’m in NYC / Jersey. Thank you again!!!
