Sounds like the ghosts of British Roadsters has haunted some 812’s[emoji317] Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
Some updates : Changed the battery in April. First, it seems that the problem was solved, camera switched on the screen every time. But with the rainy weather here in Germany i did't drove much. In June the problem came back. Sometimes the screen does not switch to the camera, the display shows what you have adjusted. Yesterday i was at the dealer for the annual service and i told them from the camera problems. They checked all the controllers with the tester, no faults. But they checked the actual software of the complete car, each controller. They said that there were different software versions, probably happened with the software update with the brake reservoir cap. Now the car has ONE software version at all controllers. They checked the cameras and all worked fine. Also when i drove home, until now, the problem didn't come back. So it seems that i wasn't wrong that the problem came with the Update last year. Daniel
Only a saggy interior headliner that had to be glued back into place. Living in Arizona may be to blame. Otherwise bulletproof at 9,000 miles.
Found some headliner pics before the repair. We used a non-standard Foglizzo leather via TM so maybe that also contributed to the sag. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login After reading the other posts, I remembered that we also hear a low-volume mechanical buzz from the dash at certain speeds since delivery. The dealer never figured out what caused it.
This is unacceptable at this price point. Why cant Ferrari get it right so glued things like dash or headliner doesnt fail?
Other than batteries, and the intake oil pressure solenoid plate, no issues at 30k miles. Though after I went to an aftermarket battery, I haven’t had any battery dying issues
What battery did you end up going with. I am about to venture into my third battery in four years. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Just a regular tier Autozone battery because I couldn’t get a lithium one in time before an event. I planned on replacing it with a lithium one when it died, but it’s been a couple years now and hasn’t been an issue at all. With the ferrari batteries it was like every 6 months I needed a new one. I split miles between my F8 spider and 812 as daily drivers. I do about 10k Ferrari miles per year. Another fun fact, my 812 is my highest mileage car, even more so than my wife’s daily driver that we’ve owned longer.
Feel sorry for this guy, electric gremlins on a Brand New 812 GTS with warranty void (Novitec Exhaust) which no dealer is able to fix.
He did remove the cats and had the car tuned. He says the car was having issues before that, but why not get those sorted before adding mods that voided warranty. Doesn't make sense to me.
i think he is playing the fool to get attention ferrari battery caused gremlins on my 812 gts and f8 get new battery or plug it in big deal
Bought a 2018, 812SF used with 3000 miles from a Ferrari dealer with a 2yr CPO. Made sure it had a new battery installed as part of the transaction. Car is all stock, no exhaust or ECU tune. First time out after driving for an hour down the highway, had the dashboard light up, ESC, rear steer, manetino, etc…errors. I was also monitoring battery voltage on the left display, noticed at times the voltage would drop down to like 11.2-11.1 volts, called the dealer, they said that was normal with the new ECU controlled alternators and to reset the car with the key FOB to clear the error messages. On the way back/home, about 45-60 mins of highway driving the dashboard lit up again. All the same errors. Brought it into the dealer and they ran their checks and said the battery needed to be deep charged, (battery is 4-5 mos old & always on factory charger) They kept the car overnite. Picked the car up the next day, after about 45-60 mins of highway driving the error messages reappeared. Back into the dealer again, they said they would see if there were any SW updates to possibly resolve the issue. They updated the SW and drove the car for a couple 100 miles with no error messages. I drove the car back home and no error messages. Have had some family health issues so haven’t driven the car in awhile to see if it remains fixed. The Ferrari dealer was very helpful and responsive and went above and beyond to get it fixed.

Watched a video a while ago on this guy. He had issues because he mucked around with the car with aftermarket parts, ecu etc. He's a youtuber looking for attention
Not sure what else this guy did, though if he just changed the exhaust there seems to be no reason for the issues related to that alone. I don't think he did an ECU remapping--just a Novitec exhaust. I've had zero issues with that on mine though has a functioning Tectronic device. Either something of issue was already a thing with his car or he did other things beyond this basic modification.
He did a ECU tune as well according to his video. He took the car to aFerrari dealer on a trip as the car was not operating correctly anymore and Ferrari would not touch it due to the ECU tune and exhaust changes, which is typical as the car is now out of Ferrari specs they warranty for.
I know its not a serious question but I’ll answer it anyways - its NOT easy. There were a total of two cars that I would buy and I couldnt due to not being in the U.S. and they went fast. Good cars with no issues and good spec, always go fast. Timing wasnt great, it was summer. Then there were about a dozen cars that met my criteria (race seats, fully loaded in carbon inside/outside, 1 or 2 owner car, over $500k msrp, and certain colors) and they all had either major repairs done to them (and service paperwork indicated these issues were coming back), or modified, or quality issues. For instance right now I have a car that I really like but its got the drooping rear spoiler problem that looks really bad. I’m trying to figure out if it can be fixed or replaced even though it costs $$$ Problem is I buy cars and keep. I’m not looking for an 812 just to experience the V12 and then sell it. So to many people these problems get the usually response of “who cares”, not in this case for me.
