Modern F1 racing isn't so much about absolute lap times, it's about tyre and fuel management for 60 laps, as close to the limit as you can be, in cars that have a relatively narrow window of downforce grip. The driver has to change engine, diff and brake settings for almost every corner - there's so much do whilst dancing on the edge.

McLaren said to Norris on the radio he was ahead at the apex and doubled down when Norris questioned it but on the replay you can clearly see Norris is not ahead.
