I'm looking to purchase a pre-owned 296 GTB. Only complete requirement is racing seats due to my height. I've test driven so I know I fit.

What do you all think of the above in Coburn? I had kind of settled on Titanio but want to consider this as well.

My initial thoughts on this spec is that there may be too many colors (grey/yellow/ and also the red interior).

I think the red looks cool, especially the seat inserts and headrest logo, but is three colors too busy?

Anyway, would appreciate hearing others views.

    Thank you in advance.

Well the Grigio Coburn is a premium 2 layer paint and a rare color compared to Grigio Titanio. Lots of carbon plus the large race seats are useful options. The front lifter is another useful option so a nice specification. Over 5,000 miles though on this one. What is the mileage on the Grigio Titanio example? Same model year? This is a rather conservative looking specification with useful options. The Titanio has a more subtle blue in that color and looks great to, just not as rare. For me mileage would be a determining factor but all things being equal, build options and mileage etc the Grigio Coburn without question!

Of course all subjective but I like it. I usually think three colors are too busy but this isn't bad. I think I would have gone yellow throughout but this isn't bad.

This is the other I was considering. No suspension lifter, which I know can be extremely relevant on resale. I like the blue seats a lot.

The 5k miles doesn't really concern me. No doubt the MSRP is much higher on the Coburn, so seems like a better deal. Especially as priced 17k lower to start.

Thanks to you both for the feedback. CH, do you think grey/yellow/red is too busy or it works in this case?

So the yellow calipers are almost a default option but their yellow color is not identical to the fender shields. The red on the seats is almost a necessity as otherwise there isn't much contrast for the interior. That small accent color on the seats is welcomed. The Grigio Titanio is the real star and nothing is distracting from that However the price seems to illustrate you don't get your money back from a high MSRP. THERE were any number of tailor made cars that didn't resell well because of their build specification. Both of your choices are really quite comparable.
Having seen the other listing now I find it quite impressive with those Blu Sterling race seats. Remember how I said there is a hint of blue in that Grigio Titanio so it plays off the interior very well. Also the mileage and the actual location is simply better unless you want to fly your Ferrari purchase across the country. Transport offers greater risks to with the potential for something to go wrong somewhere. If it was my choice it would be the local Grigio Titanio build. A couple of Grigio Titanio pictures done by Jason long ago. Also buying a Ferrari local may prove useful for you on future purchases to.

Appreciate the feedback. Big difference is one is priced 10k under 370k spec (I have seen window sticker) and the other is priced likely 50k+ under 400k+ spec (5k miles). I have not seen that window but between paint and multiple carbon options...

That's a nice color and certainly not "too busy". Price seems about right, it's a 2022 so the stickers were much lower then....might even be a little more room on that price.

Honestly, for 350k that's a lot of car.

Too funny…I almost bought the first one. I was at the dealer today and signed papers on the Grigio silverstome w couio interior instead. I traded my f8 and 812 GTS in and I wanted rhe gt interior of my 812 w the exterior of my f8 so that color combo was perfect for me. Unfortunately, I had to trim the stable down as I have a PS coming shortly and I am in the middle of a house build and have limited space. The Grigio coburn color is beautiful. FWIW, I drove their demo car home today as mine won’t be ready until tomorrow and I will say suspension lifter is a MUST. I spend about a week a month in SF at my condo and had no issue getting into the garage in either the f8 or GTS and I just had a light scrape in the 296. The nose is very low. Good luck…both cars are very nice.

Congratulations! In terms of number of colors, it’s not the number, it’s how they are done. This works nicely.

if that one is truly 50K under msrp at 5k miles that's pretty good for a 1 year old car. that is a big loss for the original buyer. make sure it doesn't have a problematic svc record.

Fantastic on the photo above….congrats again. I have already done 250 since Saturday!

Keith- question for you and other GTB to GTS owners. I was tired of waiting for my S and need to downsize to one f car for about a year so I sold two and picked up the GTB noted earlier. The question is this, outside of top town motoring are there any pluses or minuses to the move from the GTB to the GTS. I don’t do a lot of top down driving, would like,to use here and there on the track and I love the config of the car I am in. I also daily this car so miles will rack up. My thought is to stick w the GTb and use the hell out of it. I have a PS coming mid next year and doing TM for the 12 cylinder so plenty to be excited about. Is the move to the GTS really just about top down (and I get just could mean a lot to some).? Also, wife has a newish portofino M so we do have sunny days covered. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I turned in my 296 GTB for the GTS and it is the equivalent to the GTB plus top down experience. My own intention was to use the GTS as a replacement for my 1012 458S which I loved. Got the GTB to make sure I got an early GTS. Loved the spec on my GTB tho with racing seat it was very satisfying. Slightly changed it for GTS but still came out well tho the electric seats are very tight in this smaller car. My only real complaint. The GTS is every bit as quick as the GTB but I love the top down. So far no big issues with either car. GTS has a few more unnecessary beeps for no reason but very few.

If you love your 296B then keep it. I miss my spec but my GTS is the same car.

Also loving my Roma spider which is a perfect GT. I too have a PS on deposit.

Thanks! FoSV give you a date on the PS? I was hoping to slow roll mime a bit due to short term limited space but I am being told. Mid 2025 most likely. I am going to stick w the 296B. I am really loving the car…it is so ridiculously fast.
