I agree on all except one point, Manzoni designed a proper Ferrari with LaF and deserved Red Dot with XX version, then he started to change too much direction...after Vigna came in place

In recent times he's more busy fulfilling his dream of incorporating spaceship-ufo-outer space-moon landing design elements into his car, than coming up with a complete and coherent design. It's a shame that no one at Maranello have told him to either start designing cars that are cars, or apply for a job at SpaceX or NASA.

I assume the engine block is from 296 and not from 499P. At least I don't see any reason for it be self bearing given the huge structures around it.

That's because Luca was there to reign him in during LaF design process.

XX models already confirmed to be launched in 2026 as full XX, not mild xx stradale, quantity is 30 and will cost less than 499 P modificata and be more a classic gt car, related to future road models.

Obviously, being real XX, will be track only. Rivaling with W1 GTR and utopia R

I have to agree, especially when you take into the account the beautiful organic looking lines of the 499p ( which we all know make it fast).

…but as far as essence, isn’t the Valkyrie one of the least Aston Martin Aston Martins ever made….. I would however pay money to see Jeremy Clarkson attempt to get in one….

Poor McLaren. They would have never guessed how much power Ferrari can get out of their 296 based V6 engine.

    Artura V6 585 PS (+0%)
    296 V6 663 PS (+13%)
    F80 V6 900 PS (+54%)

McLaren's V6 is a thin walled design. I don't think it can compete with Ferrari's future V6 models.

I'd love to see the sketches that ended in this F80. Eventually they will surface.

Noticed the car plate when filmed read "The new Supercar" and same in the spec plate inside the engine cover. Although the journalists already say F80. The name must have been undecided until very very close to the reveal.

    Agree. As I posted earlier:

“…judging by all the bracing of the rear subframe, I’ll guess the engine is not a ‘stressed member’, i.e., not structural.”

That grigio titanio is fire. Solid black wheels looks much better and more motorsport IMO. Not sure why the launch car showcased the Taycan inspired finish.

Quite surprised that they cut the aperta and only made the coupe. Now production goes up to 799 in total. 400 more than W1. Less exclusive.

In general I do agree, but I also find that data sheets don't always tell the whole story. About PU, I find it astonishing that a 3000cc V6 in the f80 is capable of delivering almost as much power as the all-new tt V8 in the W1 (900ps vs. 928ps; just 3% less) despite having two fewer cylinders and 1000cc less.

I sat next to the fellow from Ferrari who stood up and talked to us about the design of the car during our dinner.

    - mirrors are per EU Regulations. They needed to be attached where they are and have a thick stalk.
    - there is NO plug in hybrid. Yes it is a hybrid but no thick cable.
    - I asked if the car had anything in common with the 499 design wise. No he said. Inspired by F40

more later as I think of it
