it looks good in those pics from the mondiali.
The aftermarket will crack when Ferrari produces a new generation of cars which are significantly more beautiful, have similar or superior performance and a lower price point--corrected for inflation. I fear that the decline of the USD will ensure that owners of the SF 80 will never lose their MSRP money.
More Ferrari cars on the grid the improve the chances for success So a private team can buy the 499P? How much is the that car with some spare parts and back up engine and gear box?
Regarding selection of sliding seat over moving pedals. I think it is combination some of these things: 1) Front end is so crowded of aero/cooling/4WD stuff that movable pedals might have been difficult to fit in? 2) Is footwell also more raised and narrower? Space and center of cravity considerations? 3) Single adjustable seat does not cause big weight penalty compared to electrically adjusted moving pedals? 4) More room to cabin due to small seating offset to passenger seat. 5) Better seating adjustability and more comfortable seating?
Ive been studying the design of the 12 Cilindri and grown to see / appreciate the beauty of the 'new'. I decided to place an order on the fact that the inner beauty of the NA V12 titanium con rods, finger followers allowing the 9,200 RPM redline and the latest 8 speed Getrag box. I admit I found the price hard to swallow. However i understood that this was probably the right time in my life , and given America's economic predicament, the right time to order the car. Now that we see the F80 priced at nearly 10 times the cost, I am shocked.. I plan to drive the 12 C every day and explore the V12 and all of the latest technological adaptations for this ICE relic of 75 years! Since the F80 cannot be campaigned at LeMans It will find glory only in the profit it can make for its owner at the single fleeting moment of a hammered sale. I will enjoy the 12C every day piling on the miles I hope she will become a more beautiful car as time goes on.
The F80 was not designed as a race car, unlike the 499P which is a dedicated WEC racer. AF Corsa runs the 3rd 499P (the yellow one), as a private entry.
Image Unavailable, Please Login Okay, I got it figured out. The front looks like a Lamborghini Murciealgo with the F50 and F40 Enzo in the bodywork. It's looking better and better, but I still don't like the mirrors. I wish the front was smoother and roundeder going into the side of the car's bodywork. It looks like a box. It's just off. It's not horrible, but it's just off.
Or a little gay.. The sharp edges don't bother me as much as when you try to mix in curves like at the doors and fender tops.
