    1965 Ferrari 275 GTB Factory 6 Carb

This 1965 Ferrari 275 GTB/6C is a much-sought-after six-carburetor example that was previously owned by world famous American race-car driver Masten Gregory. Red with tan interior. Just out of 50 year ownership and retaining its original matching numbers engine. One of a handful of short-nose 275 GTB’s originally equipped with six carburetors. It runs and drives but would benefit from servicing prior to active road use. Documented by marque historian Marcel Massini. This is certainly one of the most original 275 GTBs you will ever come across.

More rare cars pass through Peter's hands than many would think... :)

Peter is a sophisticated buyer/collector and he sells many cars of this caliber. For whatever reason he tends to place them with other dealers(ex. Fantasy Junction). Those who attend Amelia annually may recall the exquisite machines parked at the entrance to the Ritz Carlton? They are Peter's cars.

Well, I'm always ready to learn, so thanks.
I've had him pegged as a "buyer of last resort", performing a needed service as a seller of interesting, collectable cars in need of a great deal of work.

He’s very much more than that. Peter has a great eye for cars. Is enthusiastic, and unafraid of paying up for significance. In fact, I would go as far as to say he’s one of the most “real” guys in the business there is. A man of his word, and will go above and beyond to do the right thing in a world where back stabbing seems to take precedence.

I watched him win a very significant car at auction for $2.5M LESS than what he’d offered months prior to a seller (estate) and we’re talking north of $6M already. I can’t help but say I was cheering for him even though if he’d bought it the few months before I stood to receive a massive commission. The dude will write a check. That is for sure.

If I may give a non Ferrari example for a moment, no one in the US has tracked down more (Maserati) Khamsin barn finds or garage finds than Peter Kumar, an amazing amount and I dare say that in the last 15 years he has almost certainly found more than all other US dealers...combined.

He has a whole methodology to track cars with a team of secretaries tasked to do so full time IIRC, canvassing small town USA.

He is also very helpful in sending me their info for my Khamsin Registry.

I visited his premises in September 2018, an amazing experience because so many of the cars clearly had lived interesting lives. He had a Mangusta that was a real forest find, it had literally sat in a forest for years, was beyond hopeless, not rebuildable at all but still he had it there almost like a piece of art.

Campagnolo "sunburst" or "starburst" wheels standard on early 275GTB up through transition to the long nose version. Highly sought after(by me).

That's always been Peter's modus operandi for ages.
Maybe he wants people to inquire so that he can grow his contacts - which is fair enough, given that the primary purpose of the business it to sell.

This again reminds me how much better the original short nose design looks on the 275GTB. The long nose throws off the proportions of the design making it look like a FWD car in side view.
