I’d pay $100K for non GPF exhaust as an option.

Does anyone know the exact decibels that hyper car makers have to deal with in the EU in the next several years ?

When we finally reach Net Zero there will be no noise, no fun and not one bit of it will have changed earths average temperatures or solved the non existent threat of "climate change". The grifters responsible for the agenda will still fly around in their private jets to their ocean front properties, while we're locked down, geofenced in to our nearest town.

The F80 is actually powered by a small jet engine.

A jet engine would be far preferable to a V6.

Car looks great in those shots.

Sound wise, I don’t understand the need for anti-social level of noise—especially outbound to the public like a tuned Honda or Lambo—and I would expect a decent level cabin ‘ambiance’ sound to telegraph what the engine is doing.

True, both Valkyrie and AMG One are pure torture for their passengers.
Nevertheless I would love to hear a brand new Ferrari V12 again.

Just driven our pista 1,800 miles from Europe to UK in 3 days 2 nights. The noise was perfect. If it was our Speciale we’d be deaf and very grumpy. Noise isn’t always the thing. The right noise is better than the most noise. No noise is not where it’s at but these days, in Europe, too much noise feels out of place if you want to go far and drive fast.

  11. Agreed.

You want a car to sound good, not just make noise.

I think the issue with sound on the F80 is manly marketing.
As I have had and have seen many other V6 cars sound much better and louder.
Ferrari have 2 EVs on the way with fake sound.
I think they are trying to truly dilute the sound now and TRY (LOL) to get clients use to it and accepting of it.

I doubt many of these will do that mileage even annually

I have changed my view on the F80's design after seeing these moving track videos. I love it now. I'm still not sure about the front black panel, but that's an easy fix.

I hear it’s 50,000 lbs of thrust for its jet engine option but only an additional 1 cylinder soup can engine option for this power. As a result, people don’t like this100 milliliter soup can as it is only 1 cylinder…even though it provides 50,000 lbs of thrust….and that’s before the afterburner boost is on. So far testing only done on chicken noodle soup and awaiting miso soup testing for high rev afterburner. (Late night laughs here).

That doesn’t sound right. I would guess they want to produce the best sound they can from the chosen powertrain format and given the prevailing rules. They are charging a lot of money for this car and will make 799 of them. I doubt they would want to willingly underplay something as emotional to buyers as sound.

We have a Spyder RS. A great car. Not a noisy exhaust really. It has a nice sound but actually possesses what to my ears is a decent level of sound from the outside but no more. From inside….what on earth?! Deafness beckons! I would guess that Ferrari’s focus has been that from the inside the F80 sounds great.

It’s the first time for us to see it with the rear wing up and driving in anger. It looks more related to the 499P than I expected but still has its own identity. The F40’s genes are very present I reckon. It looks great with the wing up from behind and also gave me an F50 vibe from that angle - big rear end, big and high rear wing.

Agreed. With the wing up, and even more so with the more aggressive wheels it takes on a new character completely. When it rounded the bend with the wing in full deployment, it gave me the same vibe I got as a teenager when I saw the Countach on Cannonball Run!

I could care less that it doesn’t have a v12. Halo cars aren’t meant to stir nostalgia ~ Icona is. Halos are meant to exploit the latest in technology, and it’s clearly doing that. I messaged Flavio my feelings on the design because I know he’s receiving flack, and I could tell that he really appreciated it. The design will win in the end, people will “get it”, and it will end up being revered by most..

Now get rid of the black front piece, eliminate those horrible black rapper wheels and put proper full silvergrey wheels on it and then we can start talking...........perhaps.
And please don't forget to put red mirror covers on.
    Thank you very much.

I have no idea, but I am going to request it.I also see some SP3's with painted mirrors, I hope this will be an option on this car as well.

Looks worse. The black roof is cleverly done. It links with the carbon black elements along the top of the door and NACA duct. It’s a very interesting design feature. The body coloured a-pillar interrupts that feature and also gives a glasshouse that looks odd and small. Body coloured roof and silver alloys look like they belong to another car. And maybe another time.
