Well keeping it stock didn't last long. I recently added Kline 200 cell headers and x pipe along with a new set of wheels. Exhaust sounds great - maybe just me but could even be a tad bit louder. It is throwing a check-engine light and open to suggestions on how to get rid of. I read that Kline makes a dongle that plugs into the OBD that helps remove. Does any one have experience with it? its an O2 sensor spacer with a 400 cell cat in it, get them installed where your O2 sensors meet the catalytic converters, clear the code with any generic OBDII and drive the car as usual for like 100 miles. I haven't had any codes in 2 years and just got it smogged again for registration and passed
You might want to speak with Roger at Inspired Autosport. He sells the dongle that you were referring to. https://inspiredautosport.com/
The dongle must be new (or newer since I had the system put in) I had to install O2 sensor spacers. I was then supplied with the spacers/ cats but never put them on.....the light problem was fixed with the alone
They gave me that option too but after the fact of ordering, I figured for cost and ease I'd try the dongle out.
I have the full Kline set up in Inconel with the 200 cell cats and bought the dongle but I have yet to see a CEL. No need for anything (at the moment).
I spoke too soon. The CEL came on last night after at least 500 miles of driving with the system. I have the dongle so that cured the problem.
