And people still don't consider Norris in the running for the title? Wet weather is good though. Nice.
Norris still needs to pretty much win every race left, I can guarantee that's not happening. His chances are basically tied to a Max dnf, that is not an actual plan to rely on. Verstappen will be WDC in 2024, I just hope 2025 will finally be Ferrari's and Leclerc's time to boss the field.
The RB is now 3rd fastest car at best. Ferrari seems to be fastest, certainly the last 2 GPs, but Mclaren can easily contend for victory every time still. If norris wins majority of races with max having to fight both him, Piastri and both Ferrari's, that's not an easy title at all, especially with very likely 1 more grid penalty for an engine coming his way.
PIRELLI: "There will also be a special edition Pirelli Podium Cap, also in the colours of the national flag with the Senna logo, paying tribute to a driver who will forever be remembered not just by all Brazilians, but also by all those who love Formula 1." Why is it that drivers who kill themselves (like Senna and Clark) through bad luck or judgement, get the adulation and special tributes, while equal if not better drivers who don't kill themselves and have equal or more WDC titles (Prost, Stewart, Lauda, Schumacher), don't get all this BS? (Yes, Schumacher gets some morbid attention because of his vegitative state...but not the cult-like worship.)
Not sure what the effect is called but you can see it with pretty much any person that died (famous or not), especially prematurely, people will come out the woods and say how of a fan they where of the dead person. Whether it's because they seek sympathy for "their" loss or they want to show to the world that they are excellent talent spotters or whatever, and I'm sure many more reasons excist... Senna wasn't universally loved as he was after he died, nowhere near.
+1 the absurd industry built up around Senna now well after his death is a bit ridiculous and the hero worship of him by fans who have only read about him or seen him on video is as well. No driver is a serious hero. They arent curing cancer. The Senna worship is ridiculous. Same for MS and others. Great-- Senna raced. And...........F1 has moved swiftly along. Drivers come and go, some have more impact, good or bad but F1 moves forward. Yes they were at the top of their respective game and generation. Like others before them.
You guys know exactly why Senna gets so much media attention. He had CHARISMA and that sells, way more than lets say Prost. Alain is an amazing driver, but his personality was/is that of a wet blanket. Why netflix is gonna do a series on Ayrton, even though there is a movie already? Because Senna gets clicks and sells. That is all the executives care about, period.
You could do a movie on Ronaldinho and it would get clicks and sells. Brazil is very passionate about its sports players when they reach global status....and rightly so.
Antonelli, George and LH crashes = no more update funding. Thanks so much Cost Accounting Engineering Championship F1. More funding would enhance racing and competition! Mercedes forced to halt F1 upgrades as crash damage costs bite Following a run of expensive accidents, Mercedes will have to stop bringing any more upgrades
Disgusting that this Senna-loving idiot is going to Ferrari. Once more, lest we forget: Image Unavailable, Please Login And ANOTHER Senna tribute helmet? Any excuse is good for some more virtue-signalling… maybe to distract from how he keeps getting embarrassed by his teammate.
