Does anyone know how to remove these interior bits? For the life of me I got close by they feel somewhat stuck, I undid the bolt of 23 however unsure how to remove 21, they seem wedged in. The middle one also next to 20/25? Unsure exactly what to do. There were 3 bolts in the engine bay which I undid.

I am doing all the above so I can remove 26 from the below so I can access and remove the engine lid hinges and whilst having it out having it reupholstered

On my ‘82 GTSi …..Remove the side window then drill out the rivets. Also engine bay screws are a challenge. Behind the top crossover pipes

To remove 21 there are studs that go through into the engine bay just rearward of the seatbelt shoulder mount. 7mm nuts if I remember correctly. 21 must be removed before you can get 20/25 out.

You are also going to have to remove the rear quarter windows to get 26 out because it is riveted to the pinchweld behind the quarter light frame.

These are from a GTB but from the b pillar back will be the same.

Thanks for the guidance sucessfully removed everything with the exception of this part which is shaded. I unbolted the two bolts in the back (7mm nuts) however it is still in place. Any thoughts on how to have it removed?

IIRC there are more than 2 holding that piece. It’s been over 10 years now and I did not take photos….. sorry.

Remove the windows first, then you will be able to drill out the rivets

Window out unfortunately. Be careful not to break it. Window goes in and out from the outside of the car not interior. Also to install it, first install the rubber packing than install the window... at least thats how i did mine.

I wonder if an upholstery guy could fix it without having to remove the window. I don't know, just seems kind of extreme to fix some fabric.

It appears that on the QV the aluminum panel with the fabric attached does come off from the B pillar. There are 2 plastic clips. I'm going to look closer at it tonight, but with my fingers and light pressure I was able to unclip the bottom one and easily have enough space to remove the old trim (even of the panel did not come off). Just have to remove the black door seal just a little bit. I agree...no way am I breaking a factory window seal for this blemish. I will post back with the results.

Confirmed! The panel comes out easily with a little patience and a plastic interior tool. Just two plastic pieces. Now to source the correct fabric. Any suggestions?
