    The long way home
Gee, if you carry yourself when inquiring with them in the same way you carry yourself around here, I can't imagine why they wouldn't share the buyer's identity with you

My guess is that the person who had the $51 million does not want people knowing he or she has that kind of money (i.e. icome tax aspect; law enforcent re: drug dealers ) Who knows but I am very familiar with Sothebys RM and the original RM founder in Chatham Ontario since I am not that far away also in Ontario and I know that Sothby's when the client says confidential they will abide by it BIG TIME since do not want to be sued or lose their reputation as the top auction house in the world for such situations. the bid was by telephone and there were only two bidders so the persons were not there to be seen .

    How old are you?
Did the buyer forget to call you right after his purchase? I feel so sorry.

There is rude and then there is NYC rude as I noted countless times when in Manhattan... I think he's a stockbroker on too little sleep and far too much caffeine...if it's only caffeine...
