Yep, and Ferrari will charge 10k to remove the stripe. They know what they are doing..

Yup. Remember how Porsche does it. They charge more to NOT paint the hood so the underlying carbon fiber that was there to begin with will show itself. Porsche charges more by doing less.

For the record, I do not believe 992.2 GT3 is last NA engine either.

They all do that because there is additional effort to finish the carbon vs. painting. I'm not saying it's justified but Porsche is not alone.

The replacement will likley be from 1030 to 1080 PS, with more aero than SF90 base but probably little bit less than XX strad, as there will be a future 499 Speciale VS for the replacement too, and they cannot push the next model too close to F80 Power (aero is on another level, so no risk).

The V8 will be the most powerful ever of a Ferrari road cars, getting to 800+ PS like Temerario, but not reaching Mecca W1, since there's F80 V6 for that.

    Summary is:
More weight and slightly more power with less aero than SF90XX- Fiorano lap time around 1.18 - if declared

SF90 replacement time will be quoted by Ferrari as 2.3 seconds. You heard it here.

If Manzoni put The Black Strip on this car then it’s already too late. This design is locked in. No matter how much ‘pushback’ the strip is generating, it’s too late now to switch if he went down that road already.

I hope not but I also don’t think it will be as detrimental on this car as it is on the 12C

Yep, pretty sure the design is locked in and unchangeable by now as well - and it probably has been for a good while, even before the black strip backlash began. One can hope that it's not carried over to Icona 4 or 2026 launches.

Yeah if they start putting it on EVERY model that’s just going to be really dumb

The crazy thing about the black strip is … it’s not even functional!

    Ok so I get why it’s on the 12 C as it’s a styling call back to the 365 GTB4 …

But WHY THE FLOCK IS IT ON THE F80?!!!

It’s actually part of the wing front of the first air outlet on the F80.

OK but the ‘blackness’ is not functional. In other words it’s not like a mesh, air intake, grill or other functional reason why it would be black.

They said it's used to cancel antropomophic effect on the front of the car, though I think it also serves to hide how uninspired the ehadlights of 12 C and F80 are, compared to the still loved 430, 458, 488, F8, 812 headlights...

Exactly my thought. It all seems like a shtick to hide that the Centro Stile is struggling to design good-looking headlights. It's incredibly uninspiring to look at.

They are bought at Valeo at a low price...
Aston Martin uses blades that cost a fortune on the side, and installs them in cars under 200 k€...
Back then it was "buy a V12, the rest is a gift", and today it has become "buy a V6 and shut up and let us make our record margins, then the rest is not a gift":D

Pretty sure it will be the same like it was with the F8 Tributo, it will get the SF90 XX engine but will be heavier and have less downforce than the XX and there will be no vs model of the SF90 replacement.

The design will be very angular and will have less of a Formula 1 front like the SF90. Design is in the direction of the 328 GTB

surely they can't put the sf90xx engine in it - that would devalue the sf90xx a huge amount and the premium they paid was gigantic
