That's a spider though - still lower than a French price, but not by the same extent as the 296.

I liked your comment and would add it never really made financial sense. Most owners have never made money in comparison to investment option available . Enjoy the toys and pay cash when you can afford it !

Heck of a bargain for the current mid tier sports car though.

These hybrid cars with turbo engines have a double difficulty, and they are consequently only consumables, as efficient as they are... And when the problems related to their complexity accumulate, there will no longer be a buyer in front of them.
Digital technology and the lack of soul will end up being insurmountable.
I have always maintained this argument, and it is happening...
    This is just the beginning

    I somewhat agree.
The counter would be Porsche where nearly the entire lineup is devoid of real sports car emotion, sans the Spyder RS and Coupe, and maybe you put a GT3 in there. The rest are clinical and execute the mission very well. But appliance-like.

You can't leave out the Porsche factory race cars, they are not clinical at all.

Thanks. I want to trade up ny Artura to a 750S or 296. Leaning to 296 b/c I don’t want turbo lag (one reason is why I like the Artura).

I was looking at Artura too before I got my 296 GTS, I actually drove the Artura for several days so I know about the car. I also had a 720S. I honestly can tell you that the 296 is on a different level. First of all, the sound is miles away better than either of them (although the 720S had more pops and crackles). Secondly, the handling is razor sharp with the 296. There is obviously no lag as in the Artura. The tech in the 296 is also better implemented in my opinion (even with the tactile menu issue that everyone is complaining about). I don't think you will regret it.

I have a 720S and I'm waiting on my 296. Not sure if I will keep 720 or trade it when I get 296. I love the 720 and the turbo lag, while discernible is actually quite fun in day to driving. Mainly because of the kick in the pants a very short time after hitting the pedal. In my mind, it's part of the car's character....

There is always something disturbing about the truth... I would like to remind you that what you call progress is only a "regression" in terms of emotion and pleasure as a result of the new regulations unprecedented in the history of the automobile. We'll talk about it again in 2030,... I am looking forward to seeing who will assume on the second-hand market the maintenance costs related to the replacement of batteries, brakes and electronic problems inherent in the passage of time. All of this should discourage more than one...

The used 296 market is super deal central right now, but not everything is as it seems. The Market is based on MSRP pricing from 2022. Cars being delivered today have seen significant cost increases across the board from 22'. Base MSRP and especially options have all seen increases. If you have ordered a car you want to keep your order so you can get in line next time. But if you do not have that constraint the 296 GTB is an amazing deal, Mark-to-Market, then plus inflation. It always looks like there are more cars for sale than there are actually available, especially when it comes to Ferrari. Because there are so many options and build configurations/specs that create huge price windows the market is not always what it seems. This is going to eventually come back in balance again like the SF90 market is right now, things will clear and prices will rise in a very short period. The F8 market just went through a decline phase as well over the last 18 months.

For example, if you want a used 296 GTB/GTS Assetto Fiorano there are only 27 for sale in the entire country, of those only 2 are solid color. Some are totally loaded, and even have automatic comfort seats...yuk. Others have just the base package and not much more. So how many are really for sale for you? 4-5? that's a very short supply.

This is unlike the used Corvette market, for example, where it is pretty easy to find a C8 even a Z06, that fits what you want. In the Ferrari markets that is just optically true. There may not be a single type of car you want for sale in the entire US.

Not sure what you mean about the SF90 being back in balance, that is far from the case. This SF90 market is in a free fall which will keep pushing the 296 down until they hit a floor which is TBD. Over 200 SF90s listed for sale and many more new ones sitting that they aren't allowed to advertise. There will be many more when the XX's start showing up as well. Sf90's are already in the low to mid $400's, they will be selling under these asking prices.
