    Looks tasty… except the beets (?). My wife made some a couple night ago and still don’t like them. I’ll eat about any other vegetable.

    Beets… Couple strips on the BGE tonight. My wife had some leftover beets. None for me. I was doing dishes, washing knives and moved a plates and all this red water… thought I cut myself somehow. Damn beet juice!

    First morning under 40 degrees, so time for a batch of pasta ***ioli. For service I’ll boil up ditalini, add pasta water as needed to the soup, and finish with a drizzle of peppery Tuscan olive oil, a shower of grated Parmigiano Reggiano, and a preserved pepper. A green salad, crusty bread, and a bottle of red will complete the meal.

    Full on summer down under in Aussieland so homemade sashimi and lack rice salmon sushi with burnt butter scallops and Sydney oysters..Today was 28C ( 82F) tomorrow 34C (93F) and Monday 40C a rotten (104F).
