I added some pics in the events thread.
Some cool stuff today.
I liked the patina cars, Alfa and Audi Quattro.
I brought the LC 500 convertible and took a guy for a ride who was interested in getting one.

 

I love that Quattro. Definitely on my list of cars I should have bought years ago.

 

I am originally from Boston and they were popular, perfect branding
That was a nice patina car
Especially cool that the mom driving had 2 kiddie seats in back
Once she took the kids out of the car they said what kids say, mom I want a snack, loved it

They almost bulldozed the original FIAT 1911 dealer showroom on Motor Row on Michigan Avenue again. This was the first FIAT showroom built by the factory in America and the oldest remaining FIAT showroom still standing. It originally had tall windows and tile roof, making it look very Mediterranean. The building is land marked, but that does not stop them.


2347 S Michigan will be saved from demolition after a developer proposed building a 21 story senior building at the site.

I was thinking about going over there, but they will all be at Geneva on Sunday also. Trying to figure out how to go to both Concours on Sunday. Put some miles on the new Alfa Giulia!!

 

You didn’t miss much. Nice people, but almost exclusively 60s and 70s muscle cars.

Hopefully we can catch up at the next FuelFed. I liked that the continental had the top/trunk hydraulics visible. Crazy complex.

 

Question? Will the high temperatures and high humidity "dampen" the turnout tomorrow?

John, I spotted this auction from the Rudy Klein sale. California blue plate with minimal rust. Slight damage but a great parts car for the 365

And what a steal at that price. Not a straight panel on the thing, but plenty of patina!!

I saw that. I like how they split up the motor from the “chassis.” I’m sure someone will use the chassis plate to create som type of recreation. Some of those cars went for seriously stupid prices.

 

You basically buy the VIN, which gives you the "right" to call any recreation a Ferrari. Not sure much else is usable from this pile.

 

Nothing useable?! Why I see a caliper, disc, spindle, and maybe even a headlight trim ring. Why it’s a veritable gold mine of parts….
