I have a new to me 2015 cali t and not sure how old the battery is. I have tender and even if car sits for a week and I plug in tender, it shows full charge in less than 30 seconds. I am getting communication and engine system control failure once in a while and control failure after I run it really hard. I am going to do plug change and want to change the battery but for the life of me can't get a date on battery and know it is at least from 2021 or older. It does have hele but would rather change it and get that off the list of causes.

I would really like to get something at local parts store but not sure of group type etc. Thanks

I would say the manual would list battery brand/type. Generally it seems that batteries, in Ferraris, should be replaced every 2-3 years.

Ferrari Newport Beach sold me the Interstate Batteries MTX-49/H8 AGM 36-Month battery pictured below in August 2024. This replaced the Interstate Batteries MT5 AGM 30 Month battery pictured below which worked fine on my 2016 Cali T for more than four years.

If you do your own battery change out, here was my experience from when my battery led to non-start problem in my home garage. Ferrari Newport Beach sold me the battery and advised the replacement procedure for my circumstance.

With battery in hand, I disconnected existing battery. This disconnect was done without the tender or other battery charger connected, completely old-school normal complete battery disconnect for pre-computer cars. Removed dead battery and put new battery in place with extra pair of hands due to awkward reach position. Reconnected wiring to new battery. Started car satisfactorily, but various expensive-reading messages on vehicle screen. Cycling through start and driven cycles about half dozen or more usages went through a variety of messages until car start and ran normally along with regular trouble-free messages.

Thanks for posting this. My California 30 was using an interstate battery. Now my "new to me" Cali T needs a new battery and I was able to locate it at my local Lordco auto supplier.
