I am looking for the right F430. I'm open to a Spider or Berlinetta and also open to several colors - No red or yellow - No tan interior. Records and maintenance are important - higher mileage is OK as I plan to put plenty of my own miles on it. I do not want to pay up for a very low mile garage queen / show car. A manual swapped is OK. Please reply to me with info on color, location, transmission, major upgrades done (headers, etc.), maintenance completed, and known issues that need attention.
Call Mike Berman @Yellow Compass 971-610-7111. He'll find you anything you're looking for, and I do mean anything. No one bird dogs better! Also, I bought a 430 from these guys who have a metallic black one in stock. Josh the manager is a good guy. https://www.europeanexoticcenter.com/used-2006-ferrari-f430--tampa-fl-id-57757268
I have the perfect car for you. Call me. Mike 973-610-7111 Please read my reviews https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/anyone-that-wants-to-buy-or-sell-a-ferrari-the-right-way.586271/
Thanks for all the replies. After speaking to Mike and a few others, I think I will focus on a factory 360 stick instead of the conversion. I want to rip around the street and go through the gears - it will never see a track and I think the raw older car fits my use case better.
Brad, no problem. I will continue to help you on the other hand if any of my other brothers out here are interested in a beautiful 430 please refer to my listing . Don’t worry, we’ll trim the fat a little and put it in your garage Mike 973-610-7111 https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/2007-430-f1-coupe-argento-nurburgring-charcoal-11-500mi-mint.697994/
I didn't want to be the one to open this can, but I also highly recommend driving both before buying. I was originally looking for a 360 until doing just that. Both are great, but for me the extra 100hp punch was too much to overcome, even though the 360 exhaust is glorious. Not having to deal with timing belts was a big thing for me too, even though it's not that big of an issue actually. Just one less thing to deal with. Plus you can always convert to a gate one day if you find the F1 isn't for you. Fwiw my wife and I always preferred manuals, but we're smitten with the F1 now. Long way of saying get behind the wheel before making a hasty decision.
Yes. In this case, since the 360 does not need engine out service, I was not overly concerned abo this. I appreciate you pointing items out!
As a gated 430 Spider owner - try both and get a manual conversion 430 if you can. Much more power and torque, e diff, stiffer chassis, and for me a better interior.
I will certainly try. I know the 430 is a better car. The dilemma I have is that I do enjoy older cars for what they are. The fact that they are a bit tougher to drive and handle, that you can use more of the power often, and that it can hurt you..... adds to the smiles they give me. From what I have been told, I will get a car soon, and it will not be my last F car. You can guess what other brand I have been driving for a while by my handle here, and it certainly did not stop at 1 of them. Knowing myself, I'll get whatever one comes my way that checks certain boxes, and then in a few years, I'll itch for the other one - If I end up with a 360 Modena, maybe a 430 Spider would be a good stablemate! Time will tell, and the search continues. I would love to test drive a converted or stick 430, as I never have.
