    Does anyone know what the rough book time to replace the variators on a 2011 California is?

    My car is throwing P000C. I guess possibly could be the vvt solenoids, but while I evaluate worst case scenario, I am hoping to gather what book time is for the variators.

    Looking at section B2.03 of the workshop manual it looks like relatively straight forward disassembly... once the engine is out, haha.

    Speaking with a couple other folks it sounds like maybe the engine doesn't need to be removed? The dealer is telling me it does, so not sure. If anyone has an idea of hours it takes to replace the variators on a California, I'd love to know. Thanks!

    I am not sure what the book time is, but if I had to do it again I could get it done in a weekend.

    I don’t see how you could do it with the engine in the car there isn’t enough room between the engine and to front cross member which isn’t removable in the California.

    Dropping the engine is straight forward and stripping the front of it and replacing the variations is really just a handful of bolts. The most difficult part is making sure the timing is correct. Just need to follow the workshop manual to do it all.

    what takes time is getting the engine out and then finding cracked headers or engine mounts, or other items and then having to order more parts.
