US Spec GTB QV is a rare car.
20k miles First year of the QV US QV GTB Unusual color (interior & exterior) Multiple dedicated bidders Well-respected, engaged seller Great presentation Perhaps most importantly, the buyer has a thing for white cars ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ - Dave

And now for something completely different: https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1984-sbarro-super-eight/
It’s no surprise that three determined bidders, going after an above average car, produced an above average result. This was a Cali car with relatively low miles and a mountain of receipts dating from day one. It’s also been a concours darling and was repped by a well-known seller. Having essentially been in a bubble since 2016 - and with a buyer that already has a hot rod QV - my guess is this one stays right in its cozy cocoon. Given the ever-increasing cost of entry to Ferrari ownership and the consistent upward trend of 308 values over the last twenty years, I think the buyer comes out just fine in a longer-term buy and hold scenario. - Dave

Has Resale Red been replaced by Wistful White? Interesting that the FoBH Registry shows this as being delivered in France originally. Well, wherever it first touched down, man do these cars look good in white. - Dave
Sounds like white supremacy to me. Everyone knows that Ferrari 308s only came in red and if you were extremely fortunate, the interior was black
Surprising high winning bid for a car with one cylinder not upto spec - low compression. Is Ron308 here? https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1980-ferrari-308-gtsi-24/
Was just looking at this...not only did it have a weak cylinder (not to mention 11 year-old belts) but it was a two-valve injected Spider to boot! - Dave
What a difference a month makes; barely got to $60k today. Having a hard time wrapping my head around this one. - Dave
No, not really….but it seemed like we went through a drought this past Fall when there were hardly any being listed, so now as they’re coming back it seems like they’re everywhere. - Dave
Looks like they settled on $70K to make a deal. That seems ridiculously low to me, considering it's a GTB in a rare color with low-ish miles. Maybe the repaint and lack of historical records had an effect. The paint meter readings were a bit odd. Some panels were down in the range of thickness that could have been original paint, others were clearly repainted.
I would call this one well sold. Compression & leak down test in the description painted a picture of a dying engine. The car also looked very rough in the detailed photos.
