i have driven many of the new ferraris.
they are potent and sometimes spectacular cars.
but those haptic controls are AWFUL.
now i am seeing road tests, reading reviews, and hearing anecdotal stories from many owners, just how much everyone else hates them.....

when will ferrari get the message and stop ruining perfectly good cars with this crap !!

    Not just Ferrari.

Somehow the popularity of iPhones has been taken as a signal for car companies to emulate that interface. It has the additional effect of making a new Ferrari a disposable electronic device, which is the opposite of what you'd want in a $300K+ car.

you will get used to them and I love them now, hated them at first. Just like any radical change takes some getting used to

Dealer told me Ferrari is thinking of calling back the wheels to replace the pad on the right side with physical buttons (as in F80). Hope they will!

It's not so much the switch to haptic for me that's the issue. It's that the response/delay time between button press and actual movement is soooo slow on the UI.

If it actually responded quickly I feel like it would address a lot of the problems.

Haptics are fine if the controls and the driver aren’t jiggling around. Unless the road is smooth and straight a tactile button goes a long way to pressing the correct one.☝️
    Mark my words…
One day it will be an AI interface- you talk and the controls will listen while you keep both hands on the wheel!
