Excellent humor, I quite enjoyed that one!
In the USA they have not yet told us the exact amount of the deposit or when it is due. They have only given a range. We also don’t know the price in the USA, while buyers in Europe just recently were told the price of the car and the deposit amount. Here in the USA, we should learn soon. I think they should tell us how many total coupes and Aperta, if any, are going to be built before paying a large deposit. It seems that Ferrari apparently doesn’t think that customers deserve to know the answer before committing to buy the car on the total build numbers including the Aperta and there are so many rumors, I hope I am wrong and Ferrari is more forthcoming.
I don't see why they would, lets not forget that Ferrari have stated before "there will be no 430 scud" etc when it was laughably obvious that they were going to make one
What has changed recently is they have announced a coupe and spider at the same time. The SP90 XX, 812 C/A, AMD 12 Cylinder, all 3 versions came out at the same time so dealers and customers could sort out who got what. With the SP3 Daytona there was no Aperta. So it has been more than 4 years since they have done the split offering timing while we all knew a spider was coming. It is not at all obvious an Aperta F80 is coming and whether if it is, is the Aperta included in the 799 build number or is it in addition for 1000, possibly more total cars. Creating unnecessary uncertainty is tantamount to increasing risk and is not healthy more any market values, it is just market economics.
The Aperta will be made in addition to the 800 of the coupé. On the other hand, the coupe is not well received and they are aware of it, because it is less easy to sell than expected...
There is the amount Ferrari say they will build, and then there is the amount that is actually built. These are different numbers.
I have heard multiple rumors. If what you say is factual and from a reputable source, please send me a private message. What you saying is probably true, but I have heard 2 other scenarios completely different than what you say from credible sources.
Hearing 799 coupes and 599 apertas. They think customers are unlimited and maybe suckers too. If you are not sure if they will build the apertas just ask if it will benefit their bottom line. If the answer is yes they will do it. Coupe in the US will be $4m, aperta over $5m. I was not offered an F80 because I lost my TOP status when I turned down the monumentally idiotic Monza (although obviously I should have bought it to sell) but honestly if I was offered an F80 at $4m I would pass. I think the emperor has no clothes.
I'm nowhere near wealthy enough to have been part of the LaF/LaF Aperta allocations back then, but how would the allocations of a possible F80 Aperta model even work now? Wouldn't that entail that there's VVVVIPs out there who's been told "You're not getting an F80 - but don't worry you're getting an F80 Aperta", or how would they go about not temporarily pissing off VVVIPs while dragging them along for the Aperta?
Can I ask which Monza ? Just curious. I know a super nice guy who has both Monza’s and wasn’t offered the F80 - I think he was relieved. I thought that was very odd but I know nothing about this super high end Ferrari game. MDS
The don’t think the price will be that high in the US based on what the actual price is in Europe. Happy Thanksgiving
Because just like the F40, F50 and Enzo, many people at first found their styling challenging, but in time they became some of the most loved cars ever made. Also, going on the track records of Ferrari hypercars from before, their values in time only go in one direction. If the next Ferrari Hyper car is full EV, its only going make he F80's values rocket.
Performance and power are no longer the most important thing in the act of buying this type of car, and for good reason, an SF90XX has almost the same... And never forget that compared to the legendary Ferraris of the great era, the big 5 does not have a very high rating...
The Ferrari big 5 have some of the best ratings/values/desirability from their own era's though. And i predict the F80 will as well.
