Where can I buy a socket that fits the titanium lug nuts on my 2023 Ferrari 296 GTB? These lug nuts require a socket that fits into the recessed hole in the center of the lug nuts. If I needed to replace a tire while traveling on a road trip it might help a tire store remove these expensive lug nuts without damaging them.

What about your car’s original tool kit?

I am pretty sure your bolts are not the OEM from the factory, which used M14 steel, accross many Ferrari models.

You probably have a dealer installed aftermarket bolt. It is likely made by Acer Racing. It is probably an internal hex of 17mm, you should be able to track down a standard allen socket for that. They should have included a removal socket in your tool kit, you should ask the dealer for one if you bought the car from a dealer.

Be aware that titanium lug bolts are more prone to cracking, thread fatigue and galling in the dissimilar hub metal, compared with the chrome moly steel used in stock bolts. The look great and do reduce weight.

If you ever got a flat, you would not want a mechanic to run an impact wrench on Titanium bolts. They would be torqued to spec with a torque wrench (which is the proper practice for the steel bolts too, but they are more tolerant of over eager tightening). Maybe get a torque wrench to put into your roadside tool kit, along with a suitable spare allen socket.

As mentioned above, do not use impact wrenches on Titanium lug bolts.

Dealer option, as far as I am aware. There is probably more weight in the wheel balance weights than saved by installing titanium lug bolts!

    They do look very nice.

You'd be surprised. Those old steel Ferrari lug bolts are pretty heavy.

However, the wheel weights are much further out from the rotational axis, so MOI becomes much more of an issue vs. the lug bolts.

Mostly the nice thing about the Titanium lug bolts is that they do not rust and also look more modern than the older Chrome jobs.

You save about 1 lb on titanium lug bolts of similar length to steel. (@4 oz per wheel)

And you need a 17mm Allen
