I can't find the link so maybe someone can help. There's a business offering caliper rebuilding and cading that started when the owner read birdman tutorial back when which prompted him to start a business. The business also had a you tube video showing there services. I Can't find it! I even wrote it down back when but can't find that either. Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks cal

PMB cost me hundreds of dollars in needless repairs by installing an incorrect emergency brake part. All they offered was to send the correct part which was insignificant in terms of cost.

So I can’t recommend them, if anything I’d say stay away from anybody who refuses to stand behind their work better than that.

I do not know the details of your issue however it sounds like PMB tried to correct the error in the work that they did and you are unhappy that they would not cover some or all of the costs associated with the consequential expenses you incurred. Generally speaking any company that would is a rarity and in no way represents what is accepted in the industry. Full coverage comes when you take your car to a mechanic and they assume all the risk with the job. It is part of their hourly rate and a big reason people try doing stuff themselves. Just about any parts supplier I have ever dealt with limits their liability to the cost of parts and not to anything beyond that. I think that is totally reasonable.

My experiences with PMB have been great and they are very well regarded in the Porsche community. I have zero hesitation in recommending them to anyone.

I would have expected some offer of a partial refund on their bill beyond the offer of merely replacing the incorrect part that they installed, which was relatively insignificant. Remember, they installed the part in the caliper when they rebuilt it, not my shop. My negative opinion hasn’t changed.
