Track limits for Chuck is total BS. I hate this soft ass sport sometimes
In my local F1 commentary (Lithuania), it was explained that in turn 1, if all 4 wheels are behind blue strip between white line and kerb = track limit violation. You can actually see during replays that Leclerc's car was behind it, while Checo and Piastri weren't.
When they reinstated Perez, I figured Liberty just didn't want RB to bench the only Mexican driver. But looking at all three: Perez, Piastri, Leclerc, it seems the FIA has their own version of the "5 second rule": Charles was out of bounds slightly longer than the other two. ("Well, they weren't out for long.")
Given how well the other Ferrari powered cars did, I suspect that Ferrari, having abandoned getting the constructors title, is now going for third. I guess they want the extra wind tunnel time.
Such a pinnacle sport and yet two reversals on quali laps. Can someone call Wimbledon for assistance..https://www.techradar.com/computing/artificial-intelligence/after-147-years-wimbledon-is-getting-rid-of-line-judges-in-favor-of-ai-and-adding-var-which-always-goes-well
And the team blundered big time by sending him out far too late for his final Q1 run. https://www.instagram.com/stories/terra3012/3517929108468098054?utm_source=ig_story_item_share&igsh=NTc4MTIwNjQ2YQ==

Ferrari had 6 nonpoint finishes this year. Most of it was driver error. That was the kiss of death to their WCC chances.
Well yes. But I guess if you cover the blue you are still mostly on white line? Although like others have mentioned they should put small gravel strip like in Austria and be done with the whole ambiguity surround T1.
Sure, the car went from a podium finisher to a top 6 car, but it was Leclerc and Sainz making errors that contributed to the most loss of points by not scoring at all, on days when they could've scored top 6 finishes. I'm not beating up on either driver. They both had their best season in F1. I'm actually of the opinion that for the first time since 08', Ferrari had the best all around car for the longest period in the season. It's just McLaren had a little bit better luck and had less driver errors. Car of the year is definitely the SF-24, imho.
Hulkenberg loses fourth on grid after penalty Nico Hulkenberg has lost his stunning fourth-place grid spot at the Abu Dhabi GP after being handed a three-place penalty for overtaking in the pit lane exit road in Q1.
And the thing is, none the incidents were the typical bonehead moves that have cost them in the past. Just run of the mill racing incidents. Norris and Piastri had tons of similar close moments, but just didn't get bitten and knocked out of races. Still, Vasseur has done wonders in turning this clusterF of a team around into WCC contenders in such a short time.
Has an updated starting grid, reflecting all of the numerous penalties and other such, been posted yet? Can't find one.
@dustywusty Vasseur thought about it and said that his current components have less degradation compared to new everything so the difference is not that noticeable.
Our only chance for the WCC now would be if Lando and Piastri finish our of the points, and Carlos wins, or Carlos and Charles finish 4 and 5. But based on qualifying, I'd rather see McLaren get it, because they earned it.
A big hard disagree. The McLaren was the all around fastest car this year. And if you talk about driver errors, how about all the f'ups of Lando? Or the fact that 75% of the season Piastri was nowhere compared to his teammate? Ferrari had the better drivers, McLaren the better car.
