I agree they had no pull and already facing an uphill battle dealing directly, but being a Ferrari dealer they probably got quoted the wholesale price although not a distributor.

What could go wrong? Language barrier, lack of experience with the product, and then being ****** on FerrariChat claiming it was everyone's fault but their own.

I can see Kreissieg giving a Ferrari dealer Japanese MSRP out of gesture. To them, it’s just another retail sale.

From the invoice, it appears the OP ordered the correct product. Why the mix up is anyone’s guess. Seems like an easy fix UNLESS Kreissieg just built him a muffler without flanges on the pipes to install the valves. That would be a problem.

I know another person in HK who just received a valved 355 muffler a few months ago, so I’m ruling out supply issues. Something isn’t adding up.

All I know is there’s only a $500 difference between the valved and non-valved muffler. Is that enough to qualify as a scam? For $500 on a $4k part?.. no. For $2300 (OP’s perceived price difference) probably.

Someone needs to have a chat with Kreissieg and ask why they shipped a non-valved unit? If it was a genuine mix-up, why don’t they ship the valves and modules to the OP and call it a day?

This is a really entertaining thread and to think that I only continued to read it because I have a stock 348 muffler that I tried to sell (no one wants a used stock 348 front muffler) so the topic intrigued me.

Rob, your sleuthing ability is strong but I wouldn't reveal the identity of the OP if it is, in fact, an Fcar dealer - don't burn any bridges my friend.

The one thing that I did learn from this thread is that Bulletproof Automotive is a truly stand-up company and I would not hesitate to do business with them in the future.

So you are the type of person that lets people bully, lie, and jerk you around just because who they work for? You be you, but I'm a stronger and better person than that.

Nah... Ferrari dealers often act hollier than though on so many things. They frequently mark up parts far beyond MSRP and even charge 15k for a 550 major service which should be 5k max. Then they come on here... Not sponsored... Not subscribed....*****... Screw with a sponsor with carries the product they choose not to utilize... And then spam the forum...

Many of these GMs have turned into such utter douchebags over the years because they had the hottest product and they could just squeeze everything out of their customers until they nearly broke their will to buy a fun car.

I'm not familiar with who this dealer is that is posting... Hell I might even do business with them... But this kind of behavior is bad behavior. It's not to be rewarded or honestly tolerated.

Some of these guys exist in vacuum of their own perceived excellence where they can do no wrong and they never get any pushback because well they are the Ferrari dealer and no one is going to push back ... Well in the market place of free thinkers... These guys don't get to operate as freely and wrecklessly as they do day in and day out... And then they go cry about it.

Zero empathy for behavior like this.

I've had a few of these exhaust system and I love them. I think they yield the best sound and they have excellent fit and finish. The fact that the dealer tried to go directly to the source and didn't speak the language means they didn't proceed with any caution or forethought and only about making a larger and larger margin.

All of this could have been avoided if they had gone through an established US dealer like the sponsor on this very site they are bitching on.

Thank you, yes, it is clear that blasting this PSA about how Kreissieg direct will not make you whole or remedy their misdeliveries was inappropriate, my apologies.

Bulletproof is clearly a good business with genuine care, so yeah I'm genuinely sorry for potentially confusing members that they were associated with this BS, they're not.

But Kreisseig delivered the wrong product vs what they invoiced and charged, period. People need to know that. Perhaps it was an honest mistake, and that's fine, but they want the buyer (who is a victim of their slip-up) to be responsible for the almost $700 to ship it back. And then ghost us when we respond asking for more info.

No matter if you are a dealer, a shop, or an individual it's irrelevant. This company, Kreisseig, clearly invoiced for a specific product and did not deliver it. Admins have personally seen the invoice... How can anyone here possibly think what this seller did is appropriate or acceptable?

For those who want to go on and buy one of the KSG systems even after seeing their complete lack of customer/product support, I highly advise using Bulletproof because I'm more than confident that they would have made this right and done so with a sense of urgency. In fact, none of this would have even transpired at all.

What?! Nope, I'm not that type of person at all...I took it to mean that it was perhaps a rogue employee at a dealership and not the owners/principles of the dealership. I was simply suggesting that outing the dealership in this type of situation (where the owners were not involved with this situation) may not be a great business move for FChat. But, hey, as you say - you do you.

I like how your very first post in this thread was “I got scammed” and now this one says “they ghost us” because the Ferrari dealer info came out.

It still amazes me that this Forum is still out for blood to the point where the admins are doxing me, absolutely disgusting and unethical.

I can't wrap my head around how so many of y'all are hyperfocused on everything except for the fact that Kreissieg scammed a buyer for $5k. Yes, it is a scam to charge for a product and not deliver it. Are you guys just so well off that you don't care if you're ripped off and then ghosted by the people who took your money?!

Here's the order of events as I understand it:
    1. You bypassed the established distributor for the brand and contacted the factory directly, thus creating a language barrier.
    2. You ordered X from the factory
    3. You (believe) you got Y instead of X
    4. When you contacted the factory (through the language barrier), they asked that you return the product to verify you got Y instead of X.
    5. You refused to do so, and apparently were emphatic enough about it that the other side cut off communication.
    6. You then hopped on this forum and posted negative comments on anything you could find related to the factory. In the process, you annoyed the US distributor and (not incidentally) forum sponsor.
    7. When told to stop, and that your problem had nothing to do with the folks you were slagging on this forum, you got . . . emphatic.
    8. You then decided to go head-to-head with the Owner of this forum, after he told you to chill out and give everyone the whole story.
    9. And here we are.

Tell me, precisely, what I have wrong about this list of events.

    You're effectively spot on.

And to summarize further what you seem to be suggesting; I am the problem (for being overzealous/emphatic about not receiving the right item, which is BS no matter how much money is on the line), and Kreissieg is innocent, and in fact the real victim here, because of the "language barrier" and because the item wasn't funneled through the Forum sponsor.

Truth is I was not aware that Bulletproof was a sponsor or preferred distributor, there were several places online to purchase the exhaust from, and going to the manufacturer directly made the most sense at the time since there were no communication barriers or issues during the quoting, nor during the ordering process, or assembly and shipping. But when they were contacted about delivering a different item than what was advertised they suddenly had issues...

If you went out to Perry's for a nice steak dinner and ordered the Ribeye but received a Cheeseburger instead how would you not be upset? And then if the server ignored you when you inquire about correcting it how could you not get pissed?

And that's when you depart Perry's, go to Ruth's Chris Steakhouse, stand up on a chair, and announce to the entire dining room that the Ribeye is a scam?

    All the best,

For the sake of this metaphor, I went to the forums where people talk about the steakhouses and restaurants among many other things available worldwide...

I've said my peace and am done beating this dead horse.
