Black is too sober a color for a Lusso, in my opinion.

Market on Lusso seems to be very soft. I would not be surprised if you can bag one for $1.2m or so.

Wonder why the Lusso value is more than twice the amount of say a 296? Easy to drive, looks great, easy to fix now and anytime in the future!

Good cars still bring decent money - and even derelicts bring more than Hagerty's # 3 & 4 prices! I don't believe any price guides (in fact I hate them!), instead real world experience transacting these cars is the only way to know the market.

The most recent Lusso I sold was a non-matching engine numbered car that had sat for over 30 years and NEEDED EVERYTHING! It was a color change (very poorly done) and didn't run. It still sold for a number between Hager's #3 & #4 --- and that was wholesale! The car was subsequently sold in the same condition for a number that I believe was at or slightly above the Hagerty #3 value.

Incidentally, within the last year I also sold a Concours example (ex-major award winner and subject to a 7000 hour restoration by one of the best in the business) for even more than the Hagerty #1 value!

Good luck finding one for 1.2 M - at least a decent car. And yes, I know Enzo era Ferrari's are currently soft, but not that soft. Furthermore, with tariffs of 17.5% for bringing a car back from Europe, our supply of decent cars available for purchase here in the USA is only getting smaller!

I agree, except I don’t “hate” price guides (or anything actually), but I do despise them, because they are nothing more than silly reference/talking points to insecure “investors”/“speculators” or wannabe such and armchair/peanut gallery lemmings who merely obsess/ogle in amazement over the $$ numbers without little to no understanding basics like actual/physical condition of the subject but have an obsessive need to comment on “market values” in attempt to make themselves appear like “experts”.

I also can’t seem to find much respect for most of those constantly engaging in such behavior, but I do know they’re not real car guys. ;)
