get your injectors cleaned at the same time while you're doing that, that's what I had done

I believe I paid around $9,700 from my authorized ferrari tech, not the dealership. If you live in/near NJ, I can tell you where I got mine done

    Where'd you get yours done?

I had another issue so I ordered the valve cover gaskets, solenoids and a host of other parts to do while they were in there.

    $12K seems excessive... see below.

I'm on the second replacement at 22K miles. First replacement at 16K miles before I owned the car. This time, it was just the right side with moisture but I went ahead and had both done. As others have suggested, this qualifies as a "top end" service so best to do other stuff while in there which could include servicing the injectors - had mine shipped to RC injectors in Torrance CA as that is the shop I was familiar with and trusted when I lived out there. There is lots of stuff in there that is not that pricey and best to do in an older car... variators, solenoids, plugs etc. Everything in that area is getting cooked and age becomes as much a factor as mileage. I shamed the dealer down to a lower price because this was the second time after 6K miles, but it is not atypical to have them charge at least $4K to get in there. 12 is off the charts.

Unfortunately, valve cover seals seem to be a repeat item with the V12s, and not just the FFs. I suspect that the short-lived redos are just a poorly done job without attention to detail - it's actually a tricky job to get right in that the tech has to be very careful that the gasket seats properly. If it happens again on mine, it will go to the indy, not the dealership.

Dino Sanzogni here in Sarasota. He's a good guy and he and his dad Luciano (who unfortunately passed away a while back) have a good rep in our area. Luciano was well known in the Ferrari community and was known personally by Enzo Ferrari. We have other pretty good shops too including SV motorsports, but Dino and his shop are Ferrari through and through.
