Day after Christmas my better half went Image Unavailable, Please Login fishing and caught a few 1.2kg snappers. So I BBQ’d one for dinner. Nothing better than fresh caught fish.

New French place opened in town. Had perfect meal there last night w 77 cocktail, oysters, duck, then chocolate mousse. Expensive at $100pp but worth it.

So just made enchiladas tonight w leftover rotisserie chicken and fixed up jarred green sauce. Wasn't bad considering

Traditional good luck meal of pork (ham hocks) and black eyed peas. Best wishes everyone for the new year. May all your meals be great.

In Central PA where I grew up Pork and Sauerkraut is a New Year's Day tradition that I have faithfully observed. This year I couldn't face it after our giant NY Eve dinner (and copious amounts of table wine and Champagne) so I am making the pork tonight. Mashed taters, silver floss kraut and corn of course.

We always do the southern (I think) black eyed peas and stewed tomatoes. Hoping for a good 2025.

Baked Bacala (Italian salted cod) with potatoes in tomato and white wine is usually eaten on Christmas Eve but better late than never. Served it with some garlic bread. Image Unavailable, Please Login
