    I have to concede it’s looks like they used both on the S2s . Maybe market variations , or just supply issues . You could say this with other things like mirrors , wheels , radios as well . Or it’s ( black arms ) a 208 thingy as the dash and glove box strip is black ?
    308 s retaining early S1 SS wiper arms to sync with the Alu dash ? Dunno ?

    My ‘75 still has its original ss wiper arms.

    With respect to mirrors, in the 1960s Ferraris shipped to US dealers typically did not have outside mirrors installed. That was done by importer Chinetti or the selling dealership. I don’t know if that continued into the GT4 era. My GT4 had Vitalonis when I bought it but I have no idea if they were on the car when it was new. I don’t like the look of those at all so I sourced a couple (each side) of NOS Cromodoras and they look much better, at least to my eye.
