I don't recall his name, but the good father was a repeat Chinetti customer. Hopefully it was family money, not from the collection basket?

If indeed it was 1491 GT the car is no longer Nocciola but now Rosso.

I have to say I'm rather partial to Nocciola cars and when browsing found this lovely pair (812 and Dino). The colour is possibly not for everyone but it definitely works for me....

As far as I know, there were two Series I cars in this color, 1375GT and 1491GT. The complete interior of 1375GT was for sale on ebay around 2014, and these aluminum panels would have been reused during a reupholstery. It's a safe bet that 1375GT is no longer with us and the car in the earlier post is 1491GT.

Original engine 0995 GT was removed from chassis 0995 GT in August 2000 and re-installed again in chassis 0995 GT in September 2006. During those six years engine 0995 GT had served in 250 TDF LWB Berlinetta chassis 1385 GT. Original engine 0995 GT is back in the original chassis (reunited) since almost 19 years.

Really lovely example that a few years back during the peak would have probably sold for a lot more money. Price points have definitely moved.

More importantly (as its vulgar to focus on prices :) ) this car had a really unique feature...and I cant work out what it is. Anyone have any idea. On either side of the cabin footwell (both driver and passenger) there is a sort of leather sleeve with a button fastening that presumably is there to hold something....but I can't for the life of me work out what.

Photos below if you look closely....

Perhaps not as crazy as it first sounds....I know I've seen pictures before of, I think, a 410 SuperAmerica that had a gun holster by the transmission tunnel. Sadly I can't find any photos of it now but ChatGPT seems to agree (and we all know ChaGPT never hallucinates ;))
