It might not be on the CARFAX, but remember where the biggest body and paint shops in the world are...port
How these clowns stay in business just blows my mind. Last year I inquired about an Aston Martin they had for sale. They gave me a trade "offer" for my Cali T that was a nice $30k under MMR wholesale, and said they sell California T's "all day long" at $70k (or whatever the number was, it was ridiculously low). The guy was a complete d*ck too. I did some due diligence, and found the Copart sales ad for the car they were selling as "clean carfax" with pretty serious damage, but sold as clean title... Dan at NGS has documented a good example of how these guys operate as well. These guys are a fraud. Avoid. Dealers like these are the reason why Florida has such a reputation.
Before this turns into a complete SF-dealer bashing thread. I had a good experience buying my 456 a few years ago from Marc at Premier Luxury cars in Oakland park. Small dealer with a decent fleet of Driver quality cars. Had no hesitation taking the car for a PPI either (at a shop of my choice) https://www.premierluxurycars.net/
I have had lots of good experiences with Florida dealers...Never dealt with Carrio directly but I can say this... They are the ONLY dealer I've EVER seen on Manheim that lists exotics that every single car is listed "As-Is"... If that doesn't scream "Run, Run fast", I don't know what does.
Do people really buy cars without seeing / driving / PPI'ing? Amazing. That would go for all 50 States in my book, but I only buy new and my last new car was in 1973.
I would just respond with a link to the Wikipedia page for Section 230. FChat has no risk whatsoever. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Section_230
I think the current car market has reverted back to the “tough to make an honest buck” business. Buyers be extra careful and the reputable guys will always be around. But it’s tougher on them too now.
LOL, not entirely sure what you mean but there are pretty much ONLY car dealers and strip clubs in south Florida (including Tootsies) but ya, actually ON the beach or along it, is not really a place for a dealership... My store is in N Miami Beach.
haha, you should check out the other videos - another funny thing is the owner sounds exactly like Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Yes, I have many many times, after much due diligence...maybe it helps that I'm a lawyer, but I get EVERYTHING in writing...text or email!...EVERYTHING!
People should also remember that with all the local powerhouse authorized dealers most of the used cars are the ones they didn't want for one reason or another. FOFL and Champion alone do an insane amount of used cars, they get first dibs on the majority of the creampuffs and properly maintained cars from their repeat clientele. One look at Carrio's Instagram page and people should know to use extreme caution. It has that south Florida "baller" vibe. Regardless, a PPI is mandatory here no matter who it is.
Hah. I noticed an argento Purosangue, that looks VERY similar to the one they're selling, doing something a bit shady in the early morning recently. This thread does not shock me at all now. Just South Florida things...
