Here’s the argument, but let’s spice it up a bit: Step 1: Do you believe in climate change? No? Cool, so Lewis’s eco-activism is just white noise to you, and this thread is basically a proxy battle in the great arena of internet bickering. Might I suggest relocating to the “Pointless Arguments & Rage” (P&R) forum? Just make sure your home insurance doesn’t double, or (gulp) vanish, your utility bills don’t skyrocket into orbit, or some other wallet-punch doesn’t make climate change suddenly feel a bit more real. Yes? Ah, excellent. Let’s proceed. Step 2: Is Lewis a hypocrite? Well, maybe. If Lewis is offsetting his private jet emissions and luxury lifestyle with carbon credits or meaningful eco-actions, then he’s playing the game by the rules he supports. Thumbs up, Lewis. If not, then, yes, it’s classic "Do as I say, not as I do" behavior. Cue the pitchforks. Step 3: Can everyone afford climate credits? Spoiler alert: Nope. For most folks, climate credits are as attainable as a yacht—while Lewis could probably buy all the yachts and the climate credits to balance them. That’s why the plebs might call foul. His "sacrifices" are pocket change compared to the heavy lifting expected of regular people. Step 4: What exactly is Lewis asking the rest of us to do? Recycling? Sure, no problem. Using sustainable materials? Makes sense. I'm not a fan of micro-plastics in my system, that's my pure self interest talking. But then there’s the vegan thing. And I get it—some people hear "vegan" and picture militant tofu warriors hurling red paint at anyone who dares walk out of a McDonald’s. Is Lewis that kind of vegan? Doesn’t seem like it. He’s more "eco-preacher in a fancy suit" than "tofu terror squad." In conclusion: Is he living perfectly? No. Is he at least trying? Probably. Is it fun to pick this apart? Always.
Just out of curiosity…how does F1 get all these cars, parts, drivers, team members, logo’d hospitality, etc to 24 races a year? Thought so. Can you boys go back to loving/bashing Lewis or anything other than…climate change…jeez, we don’t hear it enough???
Maybe a moderator can merge the Hamilton at Ferrari era thread into this one. He hasn't even completed his first practice or race yet and that thread is 11 pages long and already left the track.
He stands on a new Yacht not in his country and G** doesnt really care what Max thinks either. Im glad he likes his family. That means what - who cares its his family and problem. I guess folks here have daily communication with Max and his family and know him well. Amazed what one see's hears on this 'forum' lol.
Those dual 'saviors' lol. Im sure Liberty will be calling them soon to sort all of F1's problems. We need self driving in F1 as Tesla has shown how GREAT it is again lol.
This thread should have been shut down years ago. But since regular contributor ktu claims that the number of posts here is a measure of the Hamilton's greatness, lets keep it open.
Corriere della Sport gave or wrote a not-so-nice article to The Telegraph for calling out Lewis Hamiltons wardrobe when he took the picture with the F40. The Telegraph called the photo "The mafia boss outfit and the F40."
So this really proves people just want to hate on Hamilton. Checks notes, 'Hamilton is crap and lucky because he wears silly fashions that don't make sense to my brain cell'. Then Lewis gets dressed in respectful, conservative, classically styled clothes for his first day at work and it becomes 'Hamilton is crap and lucky because he wears classic fashions I would love to look that good in, but I'll throw out childish names, because I just can't accept he's one of the best drivers out there and people like him'. Got it.
Welcome to the internet! It’s a sport. People will and have always had their heroes and villains. Lol, if you think this is bad you must not have ever seen the hate Tom Brady got. It’s really not that deep or personal. Just another sports rivalry.
You would think so, but you have people here that's not even supporting Ferrari now.
You would think so, but you have people here that's not even supporting Ferrari now.
Big deal. No different than any other sport. Happens all the time and will continue to do so. Look up Nick Saban You just worship Lewis so much you are incapable of removing your emotion and seeing a different point of view
Oh yes I'm a Saban/Bama fan. I get your point. I see many different views here. But I can't and do not wish to remove my emotion, I love the sport.
I'm only supporting half the Ferrari garage this year, same when Alonso drove for them and I couldn't stand him at the time.
So far Lewis starting off well as far as behavior... AS i said it would be CRITICAL to learn italian and he has been trying. Good job so far, now lets see on the track !
While I agree that him learning Italian would be beneficial on all fronts, I think Vasseur does not yet speak fluent Italian which would seem like it would be even more critical. I suppose most of Italian mechanics and engineers nowadays must have fairly high English proficiency.
