Told by my dealer that the next Icona will be offered to previous Icona owners. 2 years ago they told me that I needed to have 5 new car orders under my belt to be considered. Now that I have met that 5 new car threshold Its not good enough. In my market of Los Angeles, there are long waiting lists for a new car Meaning one can sit on a list for several years and may never get an aloocation. more customers than cars
SP1 would be a tough act to follow meaning the open cockpit minimal windscreen design, Le Man or some other famous race winner would certainly be a good place to start.
The 812 competizione (Ferrari Style center design) hasnt proven itself yet to be worthy of an Icona model. Its roots come from the F12 (Pininfarina design?) The next Icona, we all hope will feature the NA V-12 derived from the 12Cilindri or a further modificato Ferrari bases the Icona on something in their past which is old, and something they are proud of due to having achieved race wins and /or mustering collectibility and mystic. There is a lot to choose from! How about the legendary California Spyder? It will be fun to see what they come up with. Unfortunately for me, my dealer said I would not qualify for an allocation, since I don't own one already. Though the last time I asked, they said I needed 5 new cars from them under my belt!
No Icona 4 for ICE banning markets like Sweden and Denmark and California USA too! Not sure if China is going all electric
Sweden has proposed a ban in their major city centres by 2030. (But maybe that position is getting push back.) And California? I live here so I know what the Democratic Party hopes for- no ICE or hybrid by 2035. Our Govenor is hoping to push gas prices up another 65-80 cents. I routinely pay $5.69/ gal. So that will raise a gal to $6.45 ish. Further incentive for seitching to Electric.

Sorry for the duplicate postings My iphone is fighting against me Anyway certain cities in China are launching their own ICE bans starting by 2030 What a regulatory mess for car companies!
1962 Ferrari 250 GTO P/4 racing cars Testarossa 355 GTS F40 Schumacher v10 F1 cars or even a modern 288 GTO would be cool
But the SP4 will hopefully launch and end production prior to 2035, California buyers can get their cars as long as the Democratic leaders don't move up the ICE ban deadline.
I am referring to the 812 Comp A’s mechanical platform. Not it’s styling. They can use its chassis and drivetrain to make a TRI tribute.
The reality of the future of the traditional V12 is made evident with the latest lap times at Fiorano of the F80--electric twin turbo V-6 and electric motors. 1:15.3 seconds!!!! (812 Competizione V12 was 1 min 22 seconds. nearly 5 seconds behind.) Wow.
They seem too interested adding as much obnoxious tech anywhere they can to create another raw and analog car.
