enjoy! I miss my 2019 pre-GPF 812SF. Loved that feeling of the unstoppable freight train of endless power with full throttle at 5K rpm and above. While going mostly straight.

I ended up selling mine right before the 812C showed up. My only issue with the 812SF was the body roll / push and understeer in corners. You really need to have speed adjusted before the corner. Combined with the quick steering and just massive power, I had to be careful in slightly damp corners. I have a 12C on the way. I am sure the handling will be be fixed. At the same time the incredible sound won’t quite be there.

They are just both fantastic cars representing different themes. Every V12 “era” of models has something amazing about it and better about it than all of the models before. And something that has changed and that it gave up in the process. Because we love these cars, each of us has the passion from the experience of each era. None of us wants to lose it. Because it was damn great. Have a great time!

To clarify … My take is that the 12C is an okay result from Ferrari but not nearly as good as it could have been.

Here is what I’m saying: You know those movies you have watched 10 times because they are so great? The 458 was that. The 296 is that. The 812 was that.

12C is NOT that. The 12C is like a movie where you leave the theater saying “yeah that was a decent movie” but if you never watch it again … that’s ok with you. It’s good but not epic. It’s not a hit. It’s not an all-time great. The F12 is an all time great.

So my take is that they will find enough V12 specific buyers to sell 2/3 of their planned production and then their salesman actually have to work to sell the other 1/3, which they will.

So any comment that dealers have a waitlist 100 deep I’m calling BS and I was joking saying if they have 100 deep waitlist per dealer those people will buy anything with the badge I guess.

Thank you for the engagement and discussion and sharing your thoughts

That amazing analogy from a guy who has never owned, lived or breathed Ferrari. From a guy who has been looking for an 812SF for two plus years, but yet has never pulled money out of his bank account for one. Your opinion on Ferrari is to be taken with no credentials whatsoever. Not sure why you are here to be honest.

To be fair, everyone is free to opine and all (or most) of us are Ferrari fans regardless of ownership.

That being said, categorical statements regarding the motivations and values of actual owners are silly. The assertion from someone who loves a particular model, that buyers of that model are smart and care about that model’s intrinsic value is just as silly as the assertion that buyers of a model that someone does not love are mindless sheep who drank the kool-aid and are only chasing the prestige/brand. And there are owners, prior owners, and non-owners who make those assertions.

    Cheers! :)

I’m not going to be drawn out on your speculations.

    Think what you will.

I think it’s important to give feedback here even when critical because we know that Ferrari reads these forums.

People who believe the 12C is the grand slam home run that the F12 and 812 were are in the minority and Ferrari needs to understand why so they can make adjustments in the future. They are headed in the wrong direction with the 12C and they need to course correct going forward. The V12 line needs to be more bad ass.

I own an 812 GTS and I have a 12C Spider on order. I debate whether I will actually pull the trigger given how much I love my 812, but I’m reserving rights until I see it in person and drive it. I admit I don’t like the 12C design nearly as much as the 812 but haven’t seen it in person yet. In person is a whole different animal with these cars. 812 tough to beat…..

12C is beautiful, up to date, newer tech, etc. I have seen in person, at my dealership private viewing.
Looking forward to receiving mine end of 2025 or early 2026. Waiting for Ferrari to accept my build, hopefully soon ..

12C is a current tech Daytona to me. I love it.

I have seen it in person. Some pictures below. It's gorgeous. The 812 GTS is a great looking car but the 12C Spider looks and feels very special. Pictures don't do it justice though ... Much more impressive in the metal

Definitely looks smaller in person. If I were to order one, I would probably do the Purosangue Nero which looks purple under the sun.

Precisely! I love the 812 - Superfast, GTS, Comp, all of them. But the 12C also looks great and will be a fantastic car. If it has the Comp engine, even differently tuned, it’s blessed with greatness even if it looked like a truck. And the Vanquish will always be not-a-Ferrari. Not because of the badge, because of the engine, the software, the chassis dynamics, the history that still influences how Ferrari develop cars today. Is it really an issue that they decided to turn their prowess to celebrate its GT-ability when there are already more aggressive cars in the range? I think owners will be happy with this car and drive it. It’s like the GTS - they said it was quieter, bendier and softer than the Superfast. Yet it was a brilliant car, better than the Superfast in my opinion (and yes I’m speaking against myself here, we still have our TM Superfast and sold our non-TM GTS). GTS is better. And I think our forthcoming 12C spider could be a great car too.

The 12C spider IMHO is the more complete design than the coupe. It just works and corrects some of the flaws in the 812GTS design when viewed from the rear and 3/4 rear view. As has been said before each iteration of the V12 cars has its pluses and minuses. If the 12C were a better looker some would still complain about “GTing” of the car and if the 12C were a better performance car the current design would probably be given more slack but the detractors would still be chiming in.
To me if I had my way I would paint all the black bits body color (spider please), knock off 200 pounds(I’d carve out 500 if it were possible but isn’t), redesign the exhaust (GPF delete please), and recalibrate the steering back to 812 sharpness(have not driven the 12C so not sure if it has the same “jitteriness “ which I loved about the 812), oh and delete the haptics to a more sane level. There it’s done. Easy peasy

The haptics are being addresses (to an extent) through a change of the steering wheel with more physical buttons as per F80 following the summer 2025 factory break

Thank you for sharing. I tend to agree. I find F cars look far far better in person than in pictures so you can’t pass judgement until being in the same room. I also played it a bit safe and spec’d my 12C all black over Tortora, I just got an F8 in Verde Masoni Opaco that I’ve been searching for forever. Worried about doing a similar color with the black bits on the 12C. That it will come and it just wont work for me in person so play it safe and murder it out.

I just watched this review, it makes sense. The reviewer said the 812 SF handles like a bus. That's not very good.

Did you mean the 12cilindri handles like a bus? I did not watch, but the 812SF does not handle like a bus at all..

I guess that means Ferrari is getting desperate to find 12ci customers, having reviewers talking trash about the 812SF. The current 812SF inventory shown on Autotrader is less than 30 ! That's fewer than 3% made for USA...

Love that review. Not appalled by the bus reference at all. If I was playing on that level, I'd get one.

But I'm paranoid enough just driving my 360 sunroof/stick. :D
