I agree, move along. The mileage is usually looked upon as a stand in for how much wear and tear is on a car. In this case, it seems like the car has had some wear and tear, never mind the reported low miles. Thus, there is no reason to pay a premium for it. You should treat this as a car with average miles (or more) for an F12. As mentioned above, there will always be questions. Find another one is my opinion.

I would go further and say cancel the 12C order and just get an 812. Regulations destroyed the V12 Ferrari IMHO though I do have serious respect they are still producing them.

I had a Mercedes SUV that was backed into in the front while parked in 2021. Simple new blinker piece and front bumper cover and all like new. But it had it on the car fax. I traded it in on another SUV 2yrs ago and it was sold and then traded in at a Ford dealer and put up for sale. I ran the car fax and it showed clean no accidents. You can not trust CarFax especially on exotics at all as somehow dealers can manipulate the info.

Now is an even better time to buy. This clean 2016 F12 just sold for under $190k.

Today a clean 599 was only bid to $122,600.

The Trump recession hasn’t even hit. I have too many cars and these prices are already tempting. I guess more cars are in my future.

5 owners, 23k miles, no oem warranty, 9 years old with only 5 services and 2 at a Ferrari dealership, cracking on the body/paint, basic spec, no hi-fi, badges in the wrong place, no window stick. Unknown (likely not) if it has 2 keys, ID card, all docs, dust covers inside and out, oem trickle, service paperwork, etc. Not a loved example and not something I would be interested in but if money is an issue than you get to own a beast!

LOL. Not what you desire. This buyer desired it. Regardless- the large drop in value cannot logically be attributed all to that. IMO.

The car has a lot of CF in the inside too. The colors are not over the top and coordinate. Some cars are awful/ garish and sell for more.

This is more likely a sign the market is cracking. And time will tell.

5 owners and lack of service history is a killer for buyers with functioning brains.

Missing service records does not necessarily mean not serviced. 7 years free service out of its 9 years existence. 5 owners (sometimes these numbers are inflated by middlemen listed as owners). The service records for these periods are only available to the owner. In other words, the car was likely properly serviced- as it was free.

For this kind of discount- A third party review could remove such fears.

    Market is the market.

I bought another F12 last fall. Prior to that, I spent 4 yrs looking at F12's, having PPI'd seven (7) cars. There are many horribly maintained examples out there for sale. I suspect the BAT car is/was one of them.

Well-maintained clean F12's still command strong dollars.

Market is spotty now. Looking at the pictures- the car actually looked well maintained- especially for the mileage. On average the 12 cylinder front engine cars are better taken care of than the 8 cylinder mid engined. I know this from my own observations which were confirmed by Ferrari’s service department.

How many F12's have you PPI'd recently?
Yeah, and photos of the 7 F12's I had PPI'd looked spectacular as well! But inspections proved otherwise.

Photos are pretty worthless when it comes to determining actual condition.

I looked at many cars and the car a purchased was purchased from a Ferrari dealership and they did the inspection and approved extended warranty and did all the service work. I’m hesitant of no dealer cars

Agree. After extensive search I too bought mine from authorized Ferrari dealer. I'd never buy one out of network.

I agree- all things being equal, buy from a Ferrari dealer- which I usually do. And I have also bought privately after having Ferrari inspect. Due diligence is always necessary.

Value is a combination of both what you pay and what you get. One without the other- fail.

Truth is the mileage alone kills all modern Ferraris. Sellers always say that a well maintained example is far better than a garage queen - until they become buyers. You always pay up to own the best examples and each year there are potentially less and this is true with all models.
