FWIW mine were shot and replacements from eurospare/scurderia parts was like 100+ euros shipped to me so figure I'd give some no-name struts from taobao a try for ... drumroll please ... 10 USD shipped.

Direct replacement and they work just fine. Maybe a tad higher force than OEM (I wouldn't know given my originals were shot and couldn't keep the cover up) but dimensionwise they're a perfect match and functionality wise it should be perfectly ok given all it's for is keeping up a tiny piece of sheet metal.

Happy to report it's acceptable (enough for me at least)

Same here ^^ Frunk gas struts were a little stiffer but work great also. I just turn them so cant see labels. If you want , you could have someone cut vinyl lettering logo and attach.;)

    I saw this too

It's like 66usd shipped vs <10usd from taobao. 66USD is pretty close to getting actual OEM from eurospares/scuderiaparts so I'd pick that over aliexpress at that price level.

Let me take another look at Eurospares, when I looked they adding shipping and freight insurance that bumped it to $110 including $60 of parts so RicAmbin came out cheaper.
