I would rather have single seater with two battery tunnel on each side.

this will align driver with engine like F1

3 seater is no bad at all either.

Both ideas would be really wild and interesting, but I think there are regulatory issues in several markets.

Yes there certainly is I believe. This is why also Ferrari went to 2 seaters I guess.
Still, if there is more extreme of what can be done, this would have been a good chance risking minimum.

This is the first time we see repetition of steering wheel from mundane normal production car.
Also the dash display. Plain old square box. They should have shoot for the moon like Bugatti did with their analogue theme.

    Porsche concept comes into mind.

Stop these cheap black plastic surface nonsense once and for all….

I think both have the right interiors. The Ferrari is really meant to echo race car/ Motorsport/ and they all use these digital displays. The Bugatti is appropriate for its luxury, watch maker, ethos. I think the display of the gears is really nice, but I also think it’s a little bit contrived. The place I would like to see Ferrari get away from all the screens is in the series production cars. It would be nice to see a physical rev counter. But sadly, I don’t think it’s coming back.

Very nice article, thank you for sharing. I think thats a dealer webpage and yet they wrote/ reposted? a very nice article. Some good thoughts there.

I don't have a source, but I think someone mentioned that F80 chassis is 50 mm narrower due to 1+1 seating arrangement. That would translate to 25 mm (~ 1 inch) difference in seating position.

I have tried to compare the greenhouse size difference to W1, but it is hard to make definitive conclusions. Of course F80 has wider shoulders (which are taller too due to larger wheels). On top of that, the roof is lower in F80.

W1 has a very different compact dimension side design. Therefore it is pretty hard to compare just by pictures, how much the seating arrangement has reduced the cabin width.

When I saw it in person, I was struck with how low the F80 cockpit appears. I think there are 3 factors at work: 1- the car is simply low; 2- the sides of the car are a bit high in profile; and, 3- the exposed carbon area around the cockpit works to make it seem lower.

From looking at the drawings, I admit it is tricky to use these as a basis, I would say they have gone as far as possible in many areas, for a street legal car in modern times.

Agree, you cannot really tell what this car looks like in photo as the proportions are SO EXTREME in person, way more than any other car I have stood next to. Low and wide is an understatement. The company that trucks the cars for Ferrari NA is worried about transport due to how low and wide the car is.

It is about the same width as the SP3…1 cm difference… it is also more than 10cm narrower than the Dodici Cilindri!

In the group of the six Supercars, the Enzo is the only one that has more height than the F80. All other models have a lower height and the LaFerrari at just 1116mm is the shortest height of all them with 22mm less than the F80.
If we except the Purosangue, the F80 is the longest model on the current range. The F80 is 107 mm longer than a 12 C and 138mm longer than a LaFERRARI.
In terms of width the 12 Cylinder is the only model of the current range wither than the F80 with a difference of 116mm.

The 12C 2,176 mm is measured with open mirrors.
The width of the 12C with closed mirrors is 79.0 inches, or 2,006 mm, which is the parameter that Ferrari has always used in its specifications.
Therefore, 12C is 3,5 cm wider than an 812 SF/GTS (1,971 mm), but narrower than F80 or SP3.

F80 is 2,060 mm, which is similar to the width of an SP3 (2,050 mm).

Regarding these car widths, I have noticed that Ferrari does not make cars intentionally wider than they need to be. Usually they are pretty similarly sized in the current lineup and differ mostly by the wheel widths.

For instance, SP3 and F80 are wider (345 mm rear tyres) compared to 12 Cilindri and SF90 XX (315 mm rear tyres). This means effectively around 6 cm difference in width.

Nope, it's a lot wider than the 12 Cilindri. The latter's width was initially reported including the mirrors, unlike all other Ferraris.

I believe the F80s height includes the wing in its extended position, so it is not comparing apples to apples.

I think the height is measured with the rear wing without being extended. The only information I could find about this subject was the following: “The passenger cell is particularly narrow and low – its height is just 1138 mm, significantly lower than Lamborghini Revuelto and McLaren W1”

They have not opened up specification appointments yet, no way this is a customer car IMHO, probably still a show car.

Customer appointments are definitely opened up, though this seems too early for a customer car, as you said. Not sure I like the number on the side.

clarification: They just started setting appointments, I do not think someone already created their build, and the car was built this fast. the quickest we will see a customer car is maybe December.

I set my TM appointment two weeks ago.

What are some of the must have options on the F80? I would love to see more customer specs/renders.

I tried to figure out from the 3D configurator how the front lid opens, but have to confess that I don't get it. Does anyone know which parts actually open and how?

The only storage is behind the seats, high up just below the outer rear cover. I am hoping they are making a custom piece of luggage to fit there.

Yes, they do. It is small suitcase (although no suit will fit in it). It was presented during the unveilings in Maranello. Nice piece of luggage but pretty small.
