    Hi,

I have found a Speciale that I am very interested in.

The car is highly specced in carbon, and the owner also added further carbon parts from Ferrari.

I’m one of those annoying purists that likes to keep everything ‘standard’ - i.e - must have been an option on the original configurator / spec sheet, so I’ll likely order the original parts that were not available in carbon.

I know most of the parts on the car where carbon from factory (rear diffuser, full engine bay, front splitter, side fins, etc… but can anyone help confirm if the following parts were available to order in carbon on the Speciale:
    • Carbon Door Mirrors?
    • Carbon Side Shields (instead of the original yellow shields)
    • Carbon Door Handles
    • Carbon Fuel Cap
    • Carbon Centre Wheel Crests
Thank you in advance for your help.

I am fairly sure that all are dealer fitted accessories. If specified from new the dealer orders them in and fits as part of the PDI, or owners can buy from the parts counter later.

My Italia has carbon door handles, mirrors and fuel door. All genuine, but I don't believe factory installed. They would show on the Ferrari app if so and they don't.

Pretty sure the carbon shields were a factory option. And a very expensive one at that..

Eh, never mind purity. If it looks better, that’s one thing. If it’s too much, that’s another. I don’t have some of the carbon pieces and I’m considering adding the side skirt and front side vents. The mirrors aren’t the best looking? But maybe those too. I like carbon, and my car didn’t come with those. Too much red!

Thank you for all of the replies.

I've attached photos of the car. I've also mocked up the 3 changes that I am thinking, which the dealership will do, as the owner of the dealership has a personal Speciale that he would swap a number of small parts with:

01 - Shields: swap the side carbon shields for the original yellow shields

02 - Wheels: swap the black wheels for dark grey wheels with yellow centre crests

03 - Callipers: change the callipers from red to yellow

What are your thoughts on these changes, and / or would you just leave the car as is?

    CAR AS IS NOW

OR MAKE THE 3 CHANGES (WHEELS, CALLIPERS, SIDE SHIELD)

Which option would you go for?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Depends what the factory build spec was. If it’s had black wheels and red calipers from new, I’d be inclined to leave them alone.

It’s an eye catching car. Looks really cool.

Good shout... and remove the tints... photoshop below...

I'm not usually a fan of black wheels, but I think they work well with the black stripe.

That front view looks amazing. I am never a fan of black wheels personally, and the matte grigio are great. If you do yellow shields. yellow calipers are a good way to go. I'd personally start with the wheels and see. Keep the black center caps and go from there. I may move to CF ones from my yellow.
