The "over my dead body" policy did cost them at least one sale on a 12C. I passed because I can't get one without the black trim. I believe the policy remains firmly in place.

For all those who voted 2 and higher, saturday I was at Ruote da Sogno in Reggio Emilia and they really have some Ferrari dream cars on sale, regardless their lower prices than anything new. These are the cars that accelerate my heart! Ciao. My vote was 2. Here is why: Ferrari's through its history have always had that "exotic" look. I think the cars today don't. Most of them are way too big. The last exotic and gorgeous car was the F8. the SP Daytona is kind of exotic, but its also not a "regular" Ferrari. If you look at the back catalogue of Ferrari's even the weird cars with all the fins from the late 50's were exotic and not normal. Today ( and this pains me ) if you see a 296 in the wild from the front or back - you could mistake it for a corvette. .... I never thought I'd say that! Same with the Roma or many of the Modern Ferrari's they dont stand out. A Porsche 911 - as basic design as it is, is unique and stands out, you know what it is. Lamborghini - same thing. I think in the quest to make the cars usable, they have gone too far to blandness. the 296 - amazing car, but in my opinion its too disjointed... the front is good, and from the B pillar back its 250 LM great... but the middle bland.... When you see a 250 GTO or a 288 GTO, or Dino 206, Testarossa, or F40 you are like wow! its exotic, different and exciting. when I see a modern Ferrari today ( even my own ) its not as Wow factor. You cant deny the beauty of a 308 Gtb... probably the best looking Road going Ferrari .... It just screams exotic, and Ferrari all at once. 355, another example of beauty. As I get older, I appreciate my 599 for being user friendly, but I do lament that its not a beautiful as my old 308 to look at. I think Ferrari should be a bit smaller, and a bit more exciting looking. I think an SUV is out of place... perhaps have sporty 4 door like the Pinn... 3 V8 Cars, and 3V12 cars and then perhaps a couple of V6 hybrids. I think they need a mid engine car in each range.... its too bad there is not a V12 mid engine car in its normal road car range....
