Since the miles are so low…. I can’t imagine it will go under $120 if it does then anything under is a strong buy from my perspective. I’d rather have a 25k mile car for under $100k that car should go to somebody that’s just gonna put it in their garage and look at it and keep it under 5000 miles for investment purposes given the options and and super low miles skies the limit for that car
That's what I'm afraid of really. Since I'll want to put miles on it and not let it just be a garage queen, the 25k miles car would make better since. However, being close by so no shipping cost, my favorite color of Silver, recent work done, and F1 I am hoping maybe it'll still be a decent shot. We'll see. I'll keep my eyes open for another "driver" to come up too though.
If you are in the greater Atlanta area or in Georgia rather and it’s a private sale to a private person do you also avoid sales tax?
I hope so. That's what happened with my 308. I think the State charged me $1.60 tax... lol Of course this one is only 21 years old, so I can't remember if it was 20 years and older or 25. The state still collects tax on private sales of vehicles, but how old they are matter too. They also don't charge for special models. Like if I were to buy a C5 ZO6, they just charge for a basic value of a C5 Vette. Older classics don't have much tax at all I don't think. Definitely going to see it tmrw.
The FHP and modulars are the big pull on this one. Those should command a premium on their own. And then you have the low miles. Mine is the same color. Absolutely beautiful to look at in all lights.
Looks lovely. Has subjectively important FHP and modular wheel options with post-steering position sensor VIN. I would lose the Tubi but otherwise great car.
Yep, nice looking car. The miles scare the $#%@ outta me, for ALL the reasons…BUT - if you want a nice one, want to keep it nice but use it, don’t care about depreciation and the service is all there, heck…go for it. I’d make sure the ball joints, motor/trans mounts are good, IIRC the recent service included rollover valves, and that’s a very good thing if so. Honestly, a 25,000 mile car is probably a better choice as far as mission is concerned, but this one checks a lot of boxes
Thanks for all the help / advice folks! Let's see how it ends up. Like said, might be too high for a driver's car but I do love the color / spec for sure.
I was hunting hard for the one single white 575 SA with HGTC and @Qksilver found it for me and it also has basically no miles and the dealer wants a fortune. It can be frustrating when the fully spec’d cars are garage queens
When I was looking I prioritized upkeep/maintenance and options that are not easily retrofitted. Tragic as would have loved a different color than black but glad I did.
The car was Very nice and looked as nice as presented. Seller seems to be a Ferrari guy and has / had others. Let’s see what happens.
There is nothing tragic about a black Maranello. Scientifically proven to be the meanest yet classiest shade. Tough feat, that.
@Qksilver and @dhalperin13 have "it" figured out with manual black 575's! Perhaps the black 575 w Fabio set up is the "cool kids" club!
He had many appointments for today and in a day or two. PPI. I didn't get to drive it unfortunately. I understand because if he lets everyone, miles will go up quick. He did take me around his neighborhood in it. Sounds great, felt tight, clutch action seems nice. I did take a little bit of video. I can put it together on YT later or in the AM. Came home and have been feeling like crap all day progressively. 100.7 Temp. and horrible pain on in my throat on right side lymph node. Hope it's not a "Sign".
If you guys were in the car together for any appreciable amount of time with the windows up, my prediction is you will have some company for your misery soon. (Maybe that will prevent any additional appointments
A few of us had been texting this weekend about how not uncommon it is to see a car bounce between the auction sites. As an example….this Porsche Turbo https://carsandbids.com/auctions/KYjyladw/2001-porsche-911-turbo-coupe This car was 1/8/25 BaT at $60k Then 1/14 Pcar at $56k Then 2/21 C&B at $48k What could the seller possibly be thinking the outcome would be. Here is a FERRARI 550 (getting to the point) that @henryr and I had messaged about earlier today…. last week it was RNM at $195k on C&B https://carsandbids.com/search/ferrari/550?ss_id=c2b6fcd3-e066-4346-b0f0-e4dfdcbb45cb You would have thought seller would take that….but has now gone to pcar https://www.pcarmarket.com/auction/2000-ferrari-550-maranello-1/ Once the current Auction ends I’ll do a quick summary of the car and the 2nd result…. ps I purposefully left the vin out of this so as to not show up on a search before the current auction ends….this is just for us peanut gallery guys….
Sheesh…not taking $195 is nuts. Everyone should know by now that a BAT result typically represents all the money. Also, being a 996 turbo owner…people are weird about appearance mods, deep dish wheels, etc. and rightly so; the lower price point exposes them to a much larger pool of buyers, some of whom are not wonderful caretakers. Plus, it’s silver so THE most common color I believe. $63k with fees is a good result for that all things considered.
