I had the pleasure of seeing the car today at the Enzo drive in. Simon has done incredible work with this project. I examined the car for some time and was certain it was a factory 16M with a manual conversion. He has put countless hours into procuring the correct parts and making the car true to form. The attention to detail is impressive- down to the hand stitched roll bars! The car was a crowd favorite. Simon is a true gentleman and walked me through every detail. Yeah, I noticed that when I was looking at some 16M examples to see what the CF ones looked like, much to my surprise to see full grills
I got them on Eurospares I think it was like 350 a piece or something Everything thinks they are carbon but no its mesh.
I think carbon was a factory option on the normal 430 coupe and Spyder. The Scud and 16m, from what I have seen, are both just mesh, which may actually be lighter than the carbon and should flow more air.
I got mine for 6K EUR from car that had fire in rear and front was fine. 360, F430 and CS all share the same rack Scuderia and 16M share the same 360 Challenge and 430 Challenge share same rack
l got that shifter base. Thank You @Sj_engr It’s was fast and It’s perfect as described. I need some options please. I don’t know how I feel about it in my car. I feel like by adding an aftermarket CF part feels like overkill? I think if Ferrari made this an oe option then no problem because I love all things OEM especially in carbon. I just need the scud steering wheel and gauge cluster trim to finish all things 16m. There’s already a disproportion amount of oe carbon in this car. is this carbon shift base an overkill ? On @collegeboy and @650kid CS console looks perfect. But since this is an add one and doesn’t really match my oem console does it look off? On the other hand the darker black color base instead of the light grey looks much better. I just wish they made these from oem. Also I really need the OE carbon shift knob with red strip. . please if anyone know of one for sale
Paint the silver base the same as the floor/door handles would be my vote - with the carbon shifter knob would be a nice balance
