Tubi Style makes the exhaust for the 296 Challenge, which has a really cool sound. Much, much better than the 296 GT3.

It would have been great if Ferrari had asked Tubi to make the exhaust for the VS, with an architecture similar to that of the 296 Challenge.

Does anyone have any information about this?

If you see the factory they have only two production lines , there in probably lies the biggest factor

On which they build multiple models. If they can build a 296 and a Roma Spider in the same line, one after the other, surely they can handle two different exhaust options bolted to the same headers?

I think you will find that they do them in batches, the engine and drive train will be very standard in a run , the personal choices , interior and exterior , are standard bolt on’s on a part of the line made for that . With the low percentage of owners posting in forums here , with even less looking for changes like exhaust it makes sense for them, maybe not some owners.

If they had multiple lines then maybe but they struggle to produce 13.5 k a year with two lines

I've been there. They do not batch in the way you describe. The V8 and V12 lines (at least that's what they still called them in 2022) are both quite flexible, as is the case with most modern assembly lines.

It's just not as complex as you're imagining.

I also suspect you're underestimating how popular it would be. I don't personally know any customers that don't grumble about the sound of the new cars. Maybe my sample is biased, but I doubt it.

Hoping VS gets something close - does this sound like 296C?

There is no such thing as 812 GTS with pre-GPF SF exhaust. Thanks.

It still sounds synthetic. However, it probably does sound better in person. Can't wait for the unveiling. We're getting closer.

I am aware. I meant that the idea sounds heavenly. I can see how my wording was confusing, sorry about that.

Unfortunately, this first version of Tubi for the 296 GTB/GTS doesn't sound anything like the Tubi for the 296C.

It would be great if Tubi replicated the 296C exhaust architecture on the 296VS.

Below is a video that gives an idea of the 296C sound, and a photo of a Giallo with the TubiStyle logo:

It's worth remembering that Tubi already has a history of making an exhaust for the street car, and the one for the "Challenge" version.

An example of this is the F355: there was Tubi for the street versions, and the exhaust for the F355 Challenge was also developed by them. In fact, some have put the "Challenge Exhaust" on their street-version F355.

It' all about lap time - given Vette just crushed everything including Senna.
Not sure they need the wing - we all knew it wasn't going to be like XX.
Valhalla claims they can achieve the aero - be interesting to see. With this much hp I don't know why they are so hesitant with wings.

it was more like 3 weeks ago but you are correct , no huge spoiler in the back , it’s rather discrete, similar to the pista.
Downforce in the rear comes from a huge diffuser at the back, very different from the regular 296.
In the front there is an S duct in the bonnet but not the same as on the pista.
Front bumper, side skirts are different.
That’s the info I got from the dealer when they called to confirm my allocation.
    I for one am excited….

What is the point of buying a new 296 VS when used SF90 can be bought at such a good price - from 300k euro net?

True that this is the first time a recent model used Ferrari has been performance and value competitive with a VS edition.
But the VS will still sell out although I highly doubt if the 296VS will enjoy the same resale as past V-8 VS models IMO
